I guess I'll have to give it another try. Doesn't make sense though. I did everything exactly like I had before.

I'm on .215 and safestrap just force closes when I open it. I tried to uninstall and install a fresh copy to no avail. Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Install busybox.

That was the problem...I didn't re-root after installing .215! Strange that some of my apps that require root still worked.

Is there any other way to get into safestrap? My phone was water damaged and the hardkeys don't work, home and back work sometimes but menu and search never do. Trying to get the cm9 with the softkeys installed so i can use the phone like normal.

Awesome hash I just saw your tweet!!!

So happy to see your still alive and posting on DroidRZR.com!!!!! Keep up the good work and honestly I think once this thing goes out of beta you should take a break for a few weeks. Maybe even go on a vacation with the family

So everyone, how many gigs are you setting your data partitions to? I've been doing 2, but curious if 1 would do it.

Installed and running without any issues so far, make sure you follow all of the instructions to the letter! This makes it a breeze to jump back and forth between rom's including the nonsafe side.
  • I do wonder if we should format the old internal SD before or after installing SS4.03?
  • Also would like some feed back as to the best partition size t oset for the rom slots?
Do not forget this is a Beta !!!!

I tried 1, but unfortunately I have to many apps and got an insufficient memory message when restoring with TiBU. Had to go back to 2. It would be nice if there was a 1.5 option. With 1 i don't have enough memory, with 2 i can only create 2 slots. 1.5 would at least allow for a 3rd slot.

With SS version 3 will the backups created with a previous version work when restored? I love the sounds of switching almost on the fly but want to make sure my backups will work.

Ran into this last night, I think we have to start our roms from scratch...if not, would someone please guide me towards the light? lol

What's the equivalent of wiping data of 2.11 for 3.0.4 for installing a rom? Factory reset?

Also if I made a partition 3gb and want to make it 2gb instead, is there any way to reduce the size or remove it altogether and start over?

Dumb question and sorry if it's been answered as I'm at work and just been skimming around the thread and OP but I do understand the part about installing on "NON safe" side.. What happens if anything to our "SafeSide" rom? I'm running Simplex. Thanks.

Thanks for all your work Hashcode, we all appreciate it.

Just some questions regarding 3.04:

Does it support ADB in recovery?
By it supports Reboot Recovery from Android OS, can I take that to mean "reboot recovery" will take you to Safestrap 3.04?

Thank you :)

You're going to be creating a new 'safeside' so current data is going to be lost. Just make sure you back what you can before you install the new recovery.

I thought backups would not be compatible going from SS2 to SS3?

Also, I can't get the download link to work for the Droid Razr (Maxx) version:
