You need to create a Folder Name for you Backup...

All my Backups goto the External SD...When you choose Backup...You'll see a Field which will ask you for a Name of your backup...

What he said. The auto generated name is either too long or contains some special character that it's pulling from the build.prop. I just name mine BLRY2.2 add a dash and hit "append date" - no more problems.

Installed Safestrap v3.72 on stock side, things seem to work well. However when I try to make backup of slot 1. (CM11) it flashes "kernel cannot write cache or data" cant seem to read the rest, its to fast. I read that if you changed name of backup, tried that did not help. Tried saving to internal and external did not help. using on xt912, stock v4.1.2 (JB). Reinstalled Safestrap no help.Don't know what I am doing wrong. It used to work, so I haved messed something up. Anyone had similar problem.

Thanks

Well I got it figured out. On previous backups only Data and System were checked. Went in and selected Android Secure/Data/Cache/System/WebTop. Made backup with no problems. Have no clue why, but it worked. Hope this may help someone else.

Neither link in OP working. goo.im gives file not found, Crackflasher gives a 56 byte text file.

Here is something that I found with 3.73.  When I fix permissions now, the screen just goes black.  I am not sure if it actually completes the task or not.  When I touch the screen it comes up with the unlock screen.  Everything else functions normally, but that is a little odd.

Totally pulled a bonehead move.

I have an S4 and mistakenly installed 3.72 (For for the S4) on the Razr Maxx. Grabbed the wrong file

Now it won't boot. Any way out of this one?

thanks much.

Edit. did a little research and returned to stock using RSD lite.

Starting process over again.

Edit 2 Success
