Ok I hit menu at the ss and it goes into recovery but all I see is the clockwork logo in the center and a black screen.

If you are seeing a clockwork logo, you have a problem. (duh) Did you have bootstrap installed when you installed safestrap?

Can you still boot into Android normally? Have you swapped to safe mode our are you still in non-safe? Need more info.

I get when I hit menu at the safestrap screen It just boots into the OS. It sucks when youve softbricked

I can boot regularly and my old safestrap worked, it's just 2.0 I'm having trouble with.

Yes. .211 SS 2.0

Boot up normally on the non-safe side, make sure you have the latest busybox installed, open the safestrap app and first uninstall recovery then install recovery. Also, make sure you have plenty of space on your internal storage too. Depending on the number of apps and associated data, you could need a gig or more for each systems data backup.

If this doesn't get it working, you might want to try re-downloading the .apk.

Hey guys,

I updated to .211 and restored root with OTA rootkeeper. However, after I installed Safestrap 2.0, it continues to say "Safestrap has stopped working". I installed and reinstalled the app and same problem. Rebooted etc.
Should I root the .211 with Matt 1.7 and then try again?

All you get after a restart is a blank screen. You can't go into safestrap menu ... Or even bypass.

Sounds like it's a problem with your installation. It works fine on mine. I haven't actually changed to safe side or installed a ROM since I went to 215, but the menu comes up fine and I can select to go into recovery or to skip over it. Are you sure you selected "Install Recovery" from the app after you installed the app?
