Your ICS rom will run slow and glitchy since SS 3.07 is designed for the new JB release. I have already tried this and I can tell you that you won't be happy with the performance. The best option is to update to the new JB which is super fast and smooth then install SS 3.07. Hope this helps you out.

Thanks for your replies... Totally helped me make up my mind...Just gonna keep ICE till the other OTA is released.. Then I will gladly install this SS. Don't mind waiting a little longer now that I know its coming

Updated the OP w/ Safestrap v3.10:
  • [12/29] (3.10) Early support for booting custom ROMs on stock partitions. (Custom ROMs will need to be worked out for JB4.1 Moto OTA still)
  • [12/29] (3.10) Enable flashing to stock ROM *EMERGENCY USE ONLY RIGHT NOW -- NO FASTBOOT FILES FOR JB4.1 FROM MOTO*
    • After .zip installations, nandroid restore or system wipe on the stock ROM: the current Safestrap files are restored to the system partition (Doesn't include the APK in /data -- so if you're restoring an old backup, be sure to update the Safestrap APK)
    • During the Safestrap files restore a check is done to be sure there are minimal files on /system to re-enter Safestrap
  • [12/29] (3.10) New virtual system partitions will be 640mb (closer match to stock RAZR/D4)

So to update my 3.7 to 3.11 do I just install over 3.7 on the safe side or do I remove the old version first? Will this effect any of my current rom slots? Don't want to lose my JB on slot 1 cause I got it running perfectly!

3.11 will still work/restore older 3.xx backups? Will work with ICS as well as JB? Might there ever be a JB-only safestrap?

Hey everyone. Running 4.0.4 and was using SS 2.11. Upgraded to 3.07 (which is what the ROMs I'm trying to install ask for), activated my ROM slot, wiped, installed, and after the Safestrap screen, I just get a black screen and have to hard reset the phone. Stock side still boots just fine, just wondering if there is any insight as to what might be the issue here.

Try Evolution 5.1 Its Awesome...D-loaded SS 3.11 No Issues...Weaponx, are you waiting for the JB Update? If so, I haven't heard to many positives with this flash...

After you Installed Safestrap for the first time...When Prompt with SS... you Had 2 choices....Install or Uninstall...Chose Install first than Reboot than create your Slot...Each slot requires 1928 to activate...Check below, you need 1928 Megs to create a slot...see if you have enough Megs to create a Slot noted below as Free...

I went into the Safestrap 2.11 app that was installed, chose Uninstall Recovery, then uninstalled the app. Installed 3.07, chose Install Recovery, rebooted, created my slot (I had over 3000MB free), then installed the ROM. AFAIK, I followed all directions properly.

Unless overlooking something, NOT seeing anything on that link addressing upgrading from SS 3.07 to 3.11 ... it only covers up to 3.04. So can only assume we just load 3.11 over 3.07 but gonna wait until someone confirms its been done without corrupting something.

So reboot into stock, load the new apk, let it overwrite, click the app, install recovery, reboot? Man I haven't been inside stock in quite a while... lol

No, just install the apk then click install recovery and your good to go.
