^^^
ROMs can only be flashed on internal SD.....Reason you cant flash on sd ext is cuz it would be wayyyy too slow
Also, the constant writing to the external SD card will cause it to fail faster. Case in point, on my X2, I swapped the internal and external mount points. Within less than a year, my 32gb class-10 card started having numerous read errors and corruption. Since it was my "main" internal SD card, it meant all my apps were constantly writing to it (playing games, etc) which eventually caused it to fail within a year. I was also using it to backup my data on a nightly basis.
After much research, I found information on the web that stated constant writing to an SD card WILL cause it to fail faster. In the case of the internal SD card, it's not really an internal SD card, so it won't wear out like an external SD card will. At least, that's what I read and from what I experienced, that seems to hold true.
So, I would really suggest if you do a lot of writing to your internal memory, it would be best NOT to use the external SD card as the internal.

Yes just one
Well, what I did was to wipe everything from sd/sd-ext... fastboot stock, set it up and didn't download any extra apps since I don't use stock anyway. Then installed SS. I decided to start with a completely clean slate and haven't had any issues with available space since. May have been overkill on my part but there wasn't anything I needed couldn't get back with a half hrs work reinstalling apps

PRIOR TO UPGRADING TO V3.x FROM V2.x MOVE THE /sdcard/safestrap FOLDER FROM YOUR /sdcard TO THE /sdcard-ext. THIS OPENS UP VALUABLE INTERNAL EMMC SPACE WHERE ROM SLOTS ARE CREATED. AND KEEPS YOUR V2 BACKUPS SAFE IN CASE YOU WANT TO REVERT TO V2 AND USE THEM TO RESTORE.
Meaning you can't restore your rom based on V2xx... and yes you have to install from stock side.

Hey jeepguy....

I know, but it they look like crap when shrunk. I don't think I used the best options to make those pictures. I will fix my post none the less.
Question:
What system does this wipe? The main system? Or the system for the selected slot?

Wipes pre selected slot
Is that the same as Wipe data from SS2? And Factory Reset the other part of that option from SS2?
Basically what im asking is: What's the diff b/w Factory reset and Wipe System and how does that compare to the option Wipe Data/Factory Reset in SS2?

Factory reset wipes your /data, /cache and dalvik cache, nothing is done to the /system. Wipe System nukes your system. ie. it won't boot afterwards, you'll need to install/reinstall your ROM.

If you're on 215 I think fastboot is your only option. I believe Matts utility will alow you to undo 214 but if you want complete and total stock you need to remove SS and unroot along with unfreezing anything that you may have frozen previously. If I'm wrong I'm sure someone here will correct me lol

Yup done it a hundred times lol. I was just refering for those on 214 if they didn't want to reload any apps... but call me a purist cuz I would rather fastboot and start with a completely clean slate, after wiping the sd/sd-ext. More work but worth it to me to have no conflicts. Besides... I'm hooked on flashing lol
