How?

I'm not sure what, if anything, was the fix.

I uninstalled SS3 and re-installed 2.11. Then everything worked as it did before I installed SS3. I had my safe rom and my stock rom. Then I toggled safe mode back off, but this time I didn't to a quick toggle.

I'm not sure if it was the re-install process or avoiding the quick toggle that made it work the second time.

When I try to disable safe system to install the new Safestrap, I keep getting an error message while "Restoring Original System" saying, "Error while restoring /data!" I have an XT912 running dhacker's stock AOKP 10/14 build, and I'm on SS 2.11 atm. Any suggestions? I'd really appreciate it.

There are just Three steps to remember.
1. Always install or update Safestrap in Stock(Unsafe) mode.
2. Uninstall Recovery, in app, before uninstalling or updating app.
3. Install or update Safestrap & Install Recovery in app.

Is it anyway we can use the external memory instead of the internal?

i think that is somewhat addressed earlier in the thread...... i think the common thought is that it would end up being seriously slower.....

I know I've seen this asked but I haven't seen the answer yet. If I want to get rid of partitions to free up more internal memory how should I go about it? Also, while in recovery, under the wipe options, if you hit the wipe internal memory, will it completely wipe your internal memory or just the memory for that particular partition? I apologize if this has been covered but I haven't seen the answers anywhere. Thanks in advance! B-)

Speed would be a concern, but I think hashcode's biggest issue was the flood of potential problems due to the many different brands, sizes and classes of micro-sdcards. Compatibility could be a MAJOR problem to troubleshoot.

Besides, how many ROMs do you really need instant access to? If you clean up the internal emmc and move everything to the external, there should be more than ample room for at least 3 slots with a 2gig /data partition and 2 gigs should be more than sufficient for all but the most hardcore app users. I currently have 74 apps installed on HDROM and still have 1.3 gig left in the /data partition. I know this size will vary greatly depending on the apps you run but, knowing that most apps are only a few seconds of your time from being re-installed for the play store, how many apps do you really need installed at any one time. Another option, if you just have to have 15 ROMs available at any given time, is to install each ROM you want, then make a backup of it to your external sdcard. Dedicate one of your slots to being the "musical chairs" slot and restore the ROM to it. Make a new backup of each when you swap to another and you'll always pick up where you left off. There's also the option of buying a new HD Maxx, it's has 32gb internal, although I assume only 24 will be user accessible and you'll have to wait until Hash gets SS ported to it. :D

I guess I just don't see the need for more than 3 or 4 ROMs at a given moment, maybe I'm just to old school. I like having my stock side safe, a slot for my daily driver and another one or two for playing with new releases, but any beyond that would be wasted on me.

I'm so freaking confused on how to get this installed....I don't see a "remove recorvery" button in safestrap.. I'm running SS2.11 and I moved all my conents that were in my /sdcard/safestrap to /sdcard-ext but I'm so lost from there....

Uninstall recovery the Uninstall app. Install newest SS and install recovery through the app.
