Ah bummer, was hoping I wouldn't have to resetup some stuff. Oh well, not to big a deal, love the touch interface for recovery.

Yes I was wanting the same thing but had to reflash my rom. I agree the new ss is amazing! I really appreciate all the hard work the developers put into this stuff!

True, you can't restore a 2.11 backup from 3.0x, but I use Appextractor to pull the apps, data, wifi settings and SMS/MMS from the backup after re-installing my ROM in it's new slot. It works with both CWR (ss 2.11) and TWRP (ss 3.0x) style backups.

Yes it says it on the stock slot. The only thing I have on the internal memory is the 4 slots and whatever the OS sets up. I even tried to move them but the OS keeps making new ones. Each slot takes 1.88 GB of space. When all is said and done I only have about 245MB of space left.

Duh, yeah my math was a bit off, completely forgot about the system and cache space which gets added to the ROM slot size. Do you need four slots? Are ROMs already flashed to them? I'd say remove/delete one of the slots and see if you still get the memory errors. If you do them it's not related to the EMMC space but your data space.

What does "df" give you in a terminal window?

Just to add the following. Not sure if I had deleted a couple old backups from CWM or If the redoing Safestrap 3.05 fresh via a fastboot back resulted in the following but:

Note: This was taking via my Slot 1 Rom: Simplex

Are there any benefits, performance wise of running one ROM over running 3 ROMS ?

Is there anyway to delete a partition? I deleted all of my roms but the partition still exists.

I think fasbooting is the only way currently.

Was planning on doing that just wanted to see if there was anything else to do.

Ok so here's my question/problem I've installed the safestrap v3.05 with no problems other than when booting up to the stock ROM the phone gets hung up on the bootup screen (ROM slots boot up fine) . I'm assuming this is because I didn't realize I was suppose to revert back to original stock, uninstall 2.11, install 3.05 then re-backup the stock under recovery? So now I'm trying to figure out the best way to recover from this error. I do still have the safestrap backup files from 2.11 on my external card but I'm unsure on the process of uninstalling 3.05 and placing 2.11 back on and then restoring back to stock without the fear of the phone not coming up at all after I reboot it.

If my assumption is right can someone please give me some guidance on the proper way I should approach this?

Are you stuck at the M(boot logo)? or Boot splash? What rom slot are you on? Did you wipe?

On the splash screen. Wipe? Inside of SS3 you mean? No I didn't wipe the stock or back it up with SS3 but I did back up the stock when I originally installed SS2 though.

I upgraded from Safestrap 2.11 to 3.05. I am able to boot into my safe side without issue. Every time I hit menu to boot into recovery, it tries to boot into the OS, but gets stuck in a boot loop. Any ideas on what I can do to get it to go into recovery?

I had the same thing happen to me....You shouldve uninstalled 2.11 on the stock side first, delete and then install ss3...

Your only option now is to do a complete wipe on stock and start from scratch

Has anyone used the current version of SS with the sdcard set up through the "use external sd card as internal memory"? The low storage error was annoying me, so I wound up just moving my apps over to the sd card and setting up the ROM slots with 2gb for data. I pretty much use Artic and a JB ROM (Axiom CS currently), so space is not really a big deal since I moved the apps.

I was wondering how the different partitions would react to that if it was done, and if it would need to be flashed on all installations of the ROM slots.

I did uninstall 2.11 per the directions. I have since re-installed 2.11, since 3.05 wouldn't work for me.

Sorry if my terminology is wrong but still new to it all and I probably did it totally wrong but I got it back to normal.. 1st I'd tired fastboot but that really screwed it up because I was still stuck in bootloop when it was done. Then tired powering it off, then held pwr+vol-up & down, selected recovery and wipe system. Rebooted it came back up into stock, then rooted her again reloaded ss3 and installed recovery. When I rebooted back into ss3 my previous slotted ROMs were still there and worked flawlessly. Backup my stock and I'm up and running great.

Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

I could be wrong about all of this but... Doesn't having the different slots eliminate having to do back ups? I mean you already waste all of your internal storage on the slots why take up more of your storage with backups?

Your back ups go on the ext sd. So you could just have 2 rom slots, keep 1 as a daily driver and flash everything else on the other slot. Make backups to switch back and forth if you choose without having to flash fresh every time...

Fixed it without wiping anything.
