You have no worries really with ss. Takes about 3 to 5 to switch back and forth. There is no 203 zip that safe strap can boot to my knowledge and if there is just switch back to unsafe system. I'm on .181 right now. I downloaded everything in the middle of working out and then had to run to the airport. So I need to flash .79, then SS, and this...but worried I DL'd .203 on accident (I've been reading the thread from time to time), and I don't trust my memory since I was running around so much.

Thanks for the input on SS, looks like it won't be too much of a hassle to switch back and forth if need be.

And I can't find the md5 listed, the .zip size matches, but the link for .203 is broken (which inspires some confidence) so I can't compare sizes with that. I'll just wait until I get home today I think. No worries.

Alright, on .79, SS installed, ready to flash the ROM. Just because this is so foreign to me (haven't done much flashing since the OG Droid days), and a little confused by the OP format, can dark GApps be flashed on CM9? Just the way it's indented under the AOKP ROM, looks like it was intended only for that. Just curious.

yup DarkGapps is for both. just do not flash it until after you complete first boot and do Device setup. then you will reboot into recovery and wipe cache/dalvik then flash and reboot.

I wouldn't suggest doing or trying it to be perfectly honest. Do as the OP states to play it safe. I just have no problem living on the edge and or bricking my device as I have others to fall back on. That said I'd prefer to NOT go into details or step on the devs toes on his instructions in the OP

Couple things I noticed is, some of the secondary menu's are black on black...


THanks...I couldn't figure out what was going on! THe black on black is correct though.
