1. Install Matt's Utility v1.6 and root with that.
2. Install Safestrap v2.0 and backup the stock/rooted .181 on the unsafe side.
3. Flash one of the leaks (probably .79) to the safe side and backup.
4. Flash one of the BW leaks using the directions in the OP.

Just double checking b4 I do this. New to the Razr but not new to rooting/ROMs. Someone please confirm these steps: 1.
You'll want to wait until someone smarter than me comments, but I think you want to get the leak installed, then install SS and backup. Dunno if SS v2 will even work on GB.

Yeah, I believe you are right. I remember now reading a few posts back where ssv2 is for ICS only.

Correct. The leak update won't even flash if safe strap or bootstrap are installed. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Okay but the other steps are correct right? I just have to flash the .79 leak before installing SSv2.0.

Here is how I did it.
1. Install Matt's Utility v1.6
Fastboot to .181
Root .181
Install OTA rootkeeper back up root
Install leak .79
2. Install Safestrap v2.0 and backup the stock/rooted .79 on the unsafe side.
3. Switch to safe side
4. Flash one of the BW leaks using the directions in the OP.
I lost root and had to do the terminal method to regain root

which ROM are you on? CM9 under PERFORMANCE you cant select processor (without FC) to change the gov. I havent changed anything, and default should/usually be Mot_Hotplug. Have not been messing with the phone though since i installed the ROM over the leak, been busy packing leaving for vaca tomorrow evening.
*edit* seem to not be able to type this morning either.. lol

Yeah I know where performance is every time I click it I get force close. I'm on the .79 leak with cm9 bw. My default in rom tool box pro interactive no moto hot listed. Noticed no scaling gov setting in rom unable to load boostedass

but i suppose off running Interactive the performance has been pretty Quick to the touch, no lag from scrolling, get the occasional flicker but mainly when opening something that hasnt been opened yet... and the battery seems to just be sipped off of, i was tethering and had pandora on for 4 hours yesterday, and still managed to pull 20 hours off the battery. anyyywayz, this is just a start! for the people who wanted some extra goodies. Hopefully when i make way back from vacation Moto ICS has been released, and can get working on the Final builds. BW FTW!!

Just letting you know. It is amazing so far battery was at 100 % for 15 minutes with lots of use. I thought I found a battery bug that wasn't reading battery stats. So far 91% battery 52 minutes of use. That with 22 minutes screen time. Enjoy the plane ride back to Toledo. If you want to meet up for that beer let me know. The weather going to nice when you home.
