No worries about the emoji, it was just something I had noticed. The basic smokies still work.

As to the camera... I grabbed your update (milestone 6.1) this morning, wiped everything twice and flashed your ROM. Seemed really.Kathy when it first booted (more than normal) And never got a data signal. Tapped the 4 corners and went into the app drawer to open phone info and it was set to gsm. Switches it to the proper setting and data came back up. Opened the app drawer again and noticed that there were about 6 programs there that instead of.the theme icons they were the little Android guy with a diamond on his chest. When trying to open them (camera was one) I got errors, app cannot load, or some.such message. I went back to recovery and wiped everything again and Redlands ROM, same issues.

IM back on your .214 ROM now....

I also am having the same problems with my camera and gallery. I also flashed the 6.1 version this morning and it still did not work so I am back on the .214 build as well. I was told to try and unmount and mount your SD card under settings>storage but that did not work for me. I have this issue on all of the other AOKP M6 builds as well.

i know how you feel, i have the same problem now unfortunately on aokp and cm9.... so i run my 214 build and dont have any problems. thing that sucks is its only happening to a few of us so i dont know what to do for a fix right now... other than run my other rom based off moto source.

Please dont take this the wrong way, but Im glad your having the issue as well. makes me feel a little vindicated and lets me know its wasn't something i did or didn't do.

I have been rockin your .214 build as well and only one little glitch iin it that I have noticed (signal bars shifting over to hide under the 3G symbol) but functionally the ROM rocks.

Guys, try clearing the data from gallery under settings-apps-all apps-select gallery-clear data.

If that doesn't help, then the only option is to back your ish up onto a usb then format.

I did the first option and it worked.

Saw somewhere that a possible temp fix is to mount and unmount the sdcard repeatedly from within the Settings menu, then everything will load.

On a side note, just so everyone knows. Any pics or videos you take on your non-safe ROM, will not show up on your safe ROM side. This is an issue that plagues all CM9/AOKP/AOSP builds.

What worked for me was all non safe pics I moved to ext SD card and everything working good

****************** UPDATE ******************

for the people who were having troubles running either of my CM9/AOKP builds due to issues with the camera/gallery. There is a solution, and the problem was being caused from the modded BlurCamera used in the 211-214 builds. After connecting via usb to my computer, and backing up all my images, i loaded up the gallery and removed all the images taken with the blurcamera, and little behold after flashing CM9 the gallery is responsive and the camera is working without crashes. I am sure this will be the same for AOKP, so simply open your gallery and remove any images taken with the blur camera (if your wanting to run aokp or cm9), and you Should not experience any problems other than the known issues within the ROM. ~aloha

aha, perhaps this is why I have experienced no issues...I have been on your AOKP build without ever switching to the 211/214 build...

Btw, thank you for sticking with these AOSP type roms, I much prefer AOKP and yours is my absolute favorite

Are the rotation animations working correctly by chance? I've skimmed the last several pages and haven't seen anything about it. That and the camera were all that was keeping me away from aosp... Now that we know how to fix the camera issue, this is all left for me :-)

the camera issue has been resolved but the screen rotation/screenshots capturing in full screen won't be fixed until HDMI support is added in.

also I have noticed that the old wifi tether app causes a soft reboot after shutting down the tethering. I have got a working Android-Wifi-Tether.apk for you guys to use and enjoy. I am currently applying the ICS theme to it, once done it will be uploaded and added to the ROM packages, also I will leave a media fire link for you guys so you can update without having to download the entire package. Just make sure to delete the old apk and clear the app data of you have already tried using it... to avoid any issues.

• move to your system folder
• set permissions to (rw-r--r--)
• move into your system/app directory and overwrite the old apk
• open app drawer, long press and choose App info for WiFi Tether, then choose clear Data.
• go ahead and open WiFi Tether, allow SU, stop tethering, allow SU..... and it shouldn't soft reboot your device anymore. Also you can check the log and see that all the services start and are running OK, even without selecting Generic ICS as the device profile. Enjoy~

hey...I'm suddenly having a definite issue...I rebooted my phone and now all I get is "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped."....the thing won't do anything...just continuously pops up that message

not sure what could have possibly happened... did u install anything or flash a mod? but if in that case it ever happens u reboot to recovery wipe cache and dalvik, and then flash the ROM. should take care of any problems....

This happened to me before!! Not on this ROM but it's happened to me, sad to say I never found a fix. After restarting the phone a few times out of frustration it just stopped and everything worked again. Weird.

Yeah, I have no idea what happened either...I did nothing new, it just dropped data, so I rebooted, which I normally do, and that started up...so...I tried wiping cache & dalvik and then flashing the rom-no dice...so I wiped cache, dalvik, and formatted system and then flashed the rom...still no dice. So I went back to stock...but stock blows, so I setup Black Widow from scratch and all is good...
