I prefer AOKP due to more customization. They're pretty similar, though. Are we able to use either of these roms ? Simply, what is the difference between AOKP and CM9
Really appreciate the time put in for the development of this rom to make our great phone greater!!

hey guys, so i was informed that i missed a few icons in the settings for CM9. since i am a stickler i had to go back and look and i did indeed miss 4 images, so i have updated the ROM package, and here is the in which case the people who are running the cm9 build can download, set permissions to (rw-r--r--) and then place it and overwrite the old located in your system/app directory. *use a file manager like Root Explorer or ES file explorer*
new MD5 will be: 60724D5CF96D0DA26E5E687743EA97A8 *BW_ICS-CM9.zip
**it does have the same file name!*

Here is the updated [place this in your system/app directory with permissions rw-r--r-- and then reboot for the changes] I know this is not a major update, but i figured since i'm unsure of when i will be updating next, i figured i might as well update the current ROM package with all the changes i've made,
If you are already on 6.1 and you want to download the entire package, you are more than welcome, just wipe cache and dalvik before flashing* Enjoy~

not sure about the messaging emoji, adding in from 2 different sources (aokp and cm9; in the aosp messaging) might be the issue, but i have never used them so i never noticed, but i will take a look into it... and i too had the problem for the gallery/camera issues on the m6 build, reason i resorted back to my 214 build... and i have not checked my update to see if it fixed the problem, but if i didnt mention the other day, there has been a few select people that have had this problem and i am still unaware of what was done to fix it. I am using the same files for all my builds pretty much, so i find it odd that i ran into the problem as well. Please do let me know if the update fixed your gallery/camera issues though! thanks~
No worries about the emoji, it was just something I had noticed. The basic smokies still work.
As to the camera... I grabbed your update (milestone 6.1) this morning, wiped everything twice and flashed your ROM. Seemed really.Kathy when it first booted (more than normal) And never got a data signal. Tapped the 4 corners and went into the app drawer to open phone info and it was set to gsm. Switches it to the proper setting and data came back up. Opened the app drawer again and noticed that there were about 6 programs there that instead of.the theme icons they were the little Android guy with a diamond on his chest. When trying to open them (camera was one) I got errors, app cannot load, or some.such message. I went back to recovery and wiped everything again and Redlands ROM, same issues.
IM back on your .214 ROM now....

WHenever I have bluetooth turned on, I am unable to use the phone via the handset. I tried unpairing all bluetooth devices and rebooting to see if it was "trying to connect" instead of putting the call to the handset. If I forget to turn my bluetooth off whenever I am done with it, I can't use the phone.
Anyone have any thoughts? Otherwise, I think I migth dabble with the BW .214 build. I suppose I can just wipe and install .214 though. I will need to get back to.181?

not sure what Bluetooth problem your referring to, but a known bug is. bluetooth on but not connected = loss of audio.

That is definetly it then. I must have missed that bug.
Is going to .214 a simply data wipe from milestone 6, or do I need to get back to .181 first?

I am getting this on both AOKP and CM9 builds.
Edit: Forgot to mention this is simply a "false positive" coming up on ESET NOD32. That means its saying there's a virus when there really is none.
While at it - now that I have the AOKP build installed - is there any chance some kind of theme/mod/whatever can be done to bring back a more stock look to this ROM. I really don't like the black and white look of this. Love the other stuff included but not really digging the look.

Seemed like ESET NOD32 on my PC as its throwing some kind of Android trojan warning at me after it finished downloading.

thats the way this rom has been themed for months, if you want a stock looking experience you can roll with KOA or take advantage of the CM9 theme chooser that is in both roms.
not to mention to post in here saying both my roms are viruses aint really cool when they arent......

After I posted that I managed to via both CM9 theme chooser and Apex to bring the ROM closer to "stock." Still a few icons that are B&W but no biggie really. I'll admit that the caffeine hadn't kicked in me yet when I made my previous post so I kinda forgot that I could easily change the stuff on my end to my liking.

No I'm pretty positive its ESET NOD32 giving me a false positive when it detected it. I'm assuming it might be one of the modifications done that is triggering it. Figured at least it should be known this will come up on ESET NOD32 so others won't panic... like I did until the caffeine kicked in lol.
