Thanks bud guess I didn't read the op well enough but yeah this is a super solid rom atm its a toss up for me between this and axiom infektion think this one wins just for the big ics kb..thanks for the awesome work!!

can i install and use this rom on a GSM razr? or will it only work with cdma?

did u happen to get the issue resolved? i had the same problem and it has happened to others as well "not too often and there is a fix" i am unaware of atm, but someone said if you freeze gallery then camera works perfect, and vice versa. I'm thinking you might try a different camera/gallery...... I never tried since i updated my other build to 214 and have been running this, and you are the first report of this issue "in which case i think it sucks cuz it just started happening too! but i do have another great build to flash that can easily replace my aokp version as my daily driver

Aosp roms such as Aokp/cm9 that have been developed for CDMA verizon phones can be flashed on gsm devices but they require you flash the gsm-patch after flashing the rom.


with that being said. i develop for cdma, not GSM so i can Not provide GSM support or the patch needed. but i know my roms in the past work on GSM phones....... just need that patch

What would you all say is the main difference between this and AOKP KOA?

i am sure the easiest way to compare would be flash them both yourself (giving the rom a few days to run before deciding) or you can open both threads in 2 windows and compare.

but they are both Aokp based off Milestone 6. KOA is stock, non themed, cant really say too much else. BW is fully themed, has a few added apps for a satisfying experience. both roms have init.d tweaks, but it all comes down to personal preference.............. lol, BW FTW!!

heh like i just said, i dont do the GSM stuff so i couldnt really tell you, possibly over on xda?? or try Google GSM-patch xt910 for ICS 4.0.4

yeah i guess i'll have to keep searching. im kinda toying with the idea to learn how to port a rom and try and get it to run on the gsm version. maybe you could give me some pointers on how you ported aokp to the cdma version? would be great!

alright guys, so i have updated AOKP milestone 6. and i have put together another CM9 build, i dont think i will be starting another thread specifically for CM9, but if anyone would like to test it out to ensure everything is a go... leave a response or send me a private message!

:: wipe cache and dalvik for upgrade, wipe everything for new installations.

No I never got it fixed.... I found your other ROM and installed it. Seems to be rock solid but I miss a few of the customization from AOKP, so i think Im gonna grab your update and try it.

One other thing, in stock messenger (SMS and MMS) you have enabled the Emoji's for it. I can send them and others recieve them, but when they send them back I dont get them, I get stuff like ?=? instead of the smilie guy with his tongue hanging out looking crazy... This has been driving me nutz lately.... any Ideas?

not sure about the messaging emoji, adding in from 2 different sources (aokp and cm9; in the aosp messaging) might be the issue, but i have never used them so i never noticed, but i will take a look into it... and i too had the problem for the gallery/camera issues on the m6 build, reason i resorted back to my 214 build... and i have not checked my update to see if it fixed the problem, but if i didnt mention the other day, there has been a few select people that have had this problem and i am still unaware of what was done to fix it. I am using the same files for all my builds pretty much, so i find it odd that i ran into the problem as well. Please do let me know if the update fixed your gallery/camera issues though! thanks~

thanks. there is no real difference imo, i would say flash them both and see which u like more. they are both well known names for developing roms. they both have their long list of customizations to offer the user... they are both themed the exact same as are all my roms. just follow the OP when your ready to install to avoid problems.
