if your GSM you would then need to flash the gsm-patch after flashing the rom, before rebooting the device.

no regrets here... $!#7 is stable, snappy, boots with data, hasn't dropped yet, not even when receiving and accepting a phone call.. loving it!!

working on the HDMI issue to get the screen resolution fixed for rotation and screenshots! hopefully soon!

Hey andlaw, I'm new to the site and just wanted to thank you for a great rom. I love the darkness, looks cool and lol saves on battery life. This is by far my favorite rom I'm just having issues with my signal....especially 4G. If I'm in the same area all the time data is perfect. Data on boot is good most of the time, I sometimes have to reset it manually. It boots, switches over, hits the 4g and then switches back to the x/no bars once in awhile.

I have to commute for work so it switches to 3g then back to 4g perfectly. It rarely will lose data when moving to different service areas like it did when I was running the gingerbread kernel with the ics 4.04 before I moved to .211. Its when I'm working in my building and I switch to wifi. After a few hours I lose the wifi and the 3g and 4g will not connect data wise when I turn wifi off. It will either only connect to 3g barely or everything is a no-go. Messaging and calls are perfect. Don't know what the issue is....maybe a setting on my end. I'm running .211 with the newest kernel from June 14th or whatever. I was having horrible data problems but I was an idiot and forgot to switch back over after rooting with the old ics kernel. After that its nearly flawless except for the wifi/4g issues where I work.

Also I can't remember where I found it but you had on your bottom 5 icon menu text instead of icons. It said gmail or browser etc. I have the files but can't remember how to set them up on the bottom bar. There was a quick way to do it without doing each individually.

Is anybody else having problems with getting force closes in 'performance' under 'rom control' and the start up tweaks aren't sticking...or is this because moto locks everything...

thanks for the feedback, if u ever lose data a reboot should reset the script and data should connect again.

the icon set is found in your system/media directory, and you can long press on the icons (on home screen using Apex launcher) to set a custom icon.

and the force closes are a known issue right now when trying to use the RC performance. you can change the governor through ROM toolbox, and the start up tweaks are still a work in process. zipalign on first boot is apart of the init.d tweaks in BW.

DarkGapps are only for Play and Talk. everything else is baked into the ROM.
also Eclipse is based off .211 where Black Widow is AOSP.

Indeed, NY experience is quite satisfying! But I do have 2 questions regarding things I noticed are missing...
1) the voice dial button on the dialer...this is kinda standard Android right? I discovered it's absence when I had the dialer open in the car & needed voice dialer, lol
2) incoming calls, on ICS will generally offer the option to ignore a call while sending a quick text (I don't know if I'm explaining it right)

Just curious as to why these are not included, lol...but, no deal breakers, I definitely love this Black Widow!

motoblur adds a few things within their apks. those functions are apart of that. BW is using system apps from Aosp 4.0

I am working on a deodexed 211 ROM that will include those functions, but being blur based its going to lose the ability to customize everything like you can on these Aokp builds. but it will have webtop support, themed exactly like this ROM, everything will be working and all that junk

Those parts are included in MotoBlur, but they are also part of AOSP, as they are in the Gnex, in fact the incoming call SMS response was, I believe, in the Gnex promo video, lol...
