Just tested again. The big caller I'd only comes up after I unlock with the slider. The ROM dialer and the big caller id are both coming up in notification when in call. Also, you can't use the dial pad in big. I really actually like the stock dialer with the rom I might just end up using that even with the slider not being shown completely.

The dialpad will not work, it will use the default stock dialpad. But it WILL display the answer and deny call buttons if you have it setup correctly. Ive used this app on many phones and am using it right now.
did you delete the apk from system/app, reboot, and install big from play market, and set it up? and installed the ICS theme? and enabled it?

Data should be solid.. You installed on safestrap ics v2... wiping data, cache, dalvik and format system? and gave the ROM a second or two to let data connect before beginning Device Setup? also, on boot its a script that toggles through the network mode, which will/should give Data on boot.. might take a second or 2 but it Should<<< connect. and if it keeps changing, did you try rebooting the device and see if it worked? and if it didnt, did you ever reboot into recovery and just wipe cache and dalvik, then reboot to see? there can be a few factors after flashing that could give a problem or two, but it should stabilize it self out. sorry your experience wasn't satisfying. ..

Did you try grabbing the phone.apk from the new leak? Same results as current one?

they are 2 completely different sources, and apks. You are more than welcome to copy the phone.apk from the leak onto your sdcard-ext, and copy it into your system/app dir and set permissions to rw-r--r-- and see what you get. But i am not too worried about it right now, as BIG takes care of the problem, and until the real MOTO ICS is OTA'd... and i can put this rom into its final stage. its not too big of a deal for me

You are more than welcome to copy the phone.apk from the leak onto your sdcard-ext, and copy it into your system/app dir and set permissions to rw-r--r-- and see what you get. But i am not too worried about it right now, as BIG takes care of the problem, and until the real MOTO ICS is OTA'd... and i can put this rom into its final stage. its not too big of a deal for me

I agree to be honest. It seems like I'll just have to put up with the lack of bluetooth (audio toggle) in the phone screen itself (while on a call). I hope that ICS OTA adds that functionality. It'll be terrible not to have it resolved which I can't image they won't. Besides rumors state that it's coming June 27th or so.

Ha. That rumor is probably as reliable as the June 12th rumor. I'll believe it when I see it. Anyway, so I deleted the big caller id apk and reinstalled. Busy ATM but will update when I get a chance to check.

Np Thx. Yeah 12th wasn't great, 27th probably isn't either. Tried MIUI (chinese version) but tons of issues since it was for GSM. The ported version isn't much better either.

Just FYI on what I'm using-

EX Dialer for my contact searching and call log (easily search by name by just T9'ing it) and the UltimateCallScreen for my "BIG! caller ID" replacement. Doesn't bug out though no real ICS theme. Win some and lose some.

Not sure what I did wrong. Installed Safestrap from the link, rebooted and entering the menu gives me the icon of the clockwork hat and then the system stalls. Booting into the phone after the safestrap screen gives me a black screen. Was on a prior black window release with bootstrap though.

eh? none of the ICS-LEAK builds are flashable with bootstrap, so that leads me to my question. Are you on an Moto ICS leak? or are you still on gingerbread .181 ?

Sorry, I got confused but I was on the 2012-05-17 Black Widow ICS so I'm assuming that one was based on the Moto lCS Leak which I used Bootstrap to install.

Yeah this thread is for the my ROM which is built off the Moto ICS leaks, you need to be in the other thread that has my builds based off the android version 2.3.6

All the information is found in the OP, even says under Installation, requirements, Must be on a MOTO ICS LEAK to flash this or you will Brick! So at this time, since you installed ICS safestrap v2 you will more than likely need to RSD back to stock, and then decide what you want to do... that being stay on gingerbread and update to the newest BW build for that system, or upgrade to a Moto ICS leak, and then install the safestrap and rom found in this OP of the thread.

You need to have MotoUSB drivers installed on your PC, but if you cant get RSD to work, you can always use the Droid RAZR utility 1.6 to fastboot back to stock .181 and root. Pretty useful tool to have laying around!! look in the development section here on DR to find it. ..

I'm on the .211 leak and I've had a few data issues on bootup but I haven't noticed it as a big problem, it could just be my phone sucking too lmao
