I flashed the first build 39 file earlier today and it looked good. Only thing I found was that certain apps were shown upside down landscape and chopped. The 2 main apps I saw that did this were speed test and wifi tether. I couldn't see the top or bottom of the apps, just the middle...

never heard of that before.. i know there is a slight delay and resizing when rotating the phone from landscape to portrait.. but apps being messed up? Right now the only screen that should be off is the answer screen when receiving a call, and i included BIG! caller ID for it until its fixed.

The same thing happened on Black Ice 35.1 build for my Droid X... it was weird.

Andlaw huge fan of this rom, I was wondering if there was any other way we could download it. Unfortunately at work I can't access mediafire . If not just tell me to work harder and I won't worry about it until I go home. Thanks man and great job!

I really wanted to love this ROM, and I did until I couldn't get data to stabilize. I followed instructions, wiped, the whole nine. It must hate my phone or something, as it kept changing the network mode on it's own. Back to .211 for now which is being rock solid on data.

Hi andlaw,

Now that the new OTA leak is out, have you had a chance to investigate phone.apk and see if it can be extracted and ported into your rom to fix the call receive/toggle issues?

To clarify, as you have already mentioned, the answer slider is off the screen, which is why you implemented "BIG! caller ID". What I am actually referring to has to deal with the phone.apk that is built into the ROM that doesn't have a toggle to set the output of the audio. Some phone.apk allow for you to choose Bluetooth, Headset or Handset as options if they are connected. This phone.apk doesn't allow any of that. It only has an option for keypad, speaker, mute and add call. There is no way that I can tell to take an active call off of Bluetooth while on a call.

If you've had a chance to look at Eclipse Rom, it has an excellent phone.apk which has the options that I'm speaking about. I realize that it isn't an ICS ROM, so that could be one of the distinguishing issues. Just thought I'd mention this since I'm not an expert.

Would be nice to have the functionality.

Hey andlaw, I have big caller ID set up but I'm still forced to answer with the broken rom slider. Once answered the big caller id screen comes up. Any idea what's wrong?

I'm pretty sure that the broken slider IS the BIG! caller ID. Same thing for me, I just assumed that BIG! caller ID was the broken slider because if he wasn't using that, the slider would be completely off the screen and you wouldn't even have half of it in the first place. This is why I suggested looking into the new phone.apk from the latest Leak.

No you are correct, Somewhere in the port (since build 33) the phone.apk has been acting like its chopped and showing half the answer slider when receiving a call. That is why i included BIG! caller ID, and when you download the ICS theme from Play, for BIG! caller ID, you should have 2 press buttons, 1 for answer, 1 for deny. no slider... no broken images, clean.. working.. and themed ICS. not sure what could possibly be causing the problem... but if you say it is setup, and enabled, but still not working... try using a file manager, delete the apk from your system/app directory, open play, download BIG! caller ID from Play (now it will be stored in data/apps), open and set the program up, and try....... let me know what you come up with

For me I still had to do what Andlaw said about deleting the APK to get it to work, but if you just installed the latest version and ROM, you should be fine.

im going to integrate it into the next update..

I was just about to say, I bet he didn't check the theme on under the BIG! app

Just tested again. The big caller I'd only comes up after I unlock with the slider. The ROM dialer and the big caller id are both coming up in notification when in call. Also, you can't use the dial pad in big. I really actually like the stock dialer with the rom I might just end up using that even with the slider not being shown completely.

Data should be solid.. You installed on safestrap ics v2... wiping data, cache, dalvik and format system? and gave the ROM a second or two to let data connect before beginning Device Setup? also, on boot its a script that toggles through the network mode, which will/should give Data on boot.. might take a second or 2 but it Should<<< connect. and if it keeps changing, did you try rebooting the device and see if it worked? and if it didnt, did you ever reboot into recovery and just wipe cache and dalvik, then reboot to see? there can be a few factors after flashing that could give a problem or two, but it should stabilize it self out. sorry your experience wasn't satisfying. ..
