Android is all about choices. And here's another two choice's for AOSP ROM!

:: What we have here are two different sets of ROM's to choose from, and both are very popular in terms of stability, features for customization, better battery and speed. I have compiled them both from STS-dev team Github source.. so they will more than likely have some of the similar bugs/issues other AOKP/CM9 builds currently have. As with all of my ROM's, these are both themed very dark!! They both come pre-loaded with my BWicons (they just need to be enabled through APEX theme settings), this will give the ROM a more complete look inside the app drawer since most apps have been themed. I have put a lot of time into blacking out the entire system and will not do it any other way lol. It has been a work in progress for months getting the system, apps, and Gapps blacked out so if you don't like darkness, then this ROM is not for you. If you need Webtop and working HDMI, then this ROM is not for you...

KNOWN ISSUES/ WHAT DOESN'T WORK:

Screenshots don't capture full screen (simply open and edit/Crop)
Force Close in RC > Performance (use Rom Toolbox to change CPU Control/Kernel tweaks)
Bluetooth on but not connected to device = loss of all audio
WEBTOP/HDMI - screen rotation is delayed

]] :: open your app drawer and locate and select CPU sleeper, Enable auto-start on reboot and click on 'Start service' 2x to activate. (this shuts off 1 core while the phone's screen is off to save battery! both cores resume when the screen is turned back on)
Go into System Settings, Developer Options, [change Window & Transition animation scale to: OFF ]
Open AdFreeAndroid, choose Boot Normally, and then choose Skip, check-mark the options "Check server for updates daily", and "Automatically Apply Updates" (ADS SUCK, so why allow them on our phone?)
Open Browser, press menu, open Settings, Labs, and Enable both Quick controls and Extended quick controls (for a better browsing experience)
Open your system/media directory for custom 'Roboto text' launcher icons (using apex, long press on the app, edit, change icon)

A truly blacked out experience for the RAZR (other choices)

• Put phone into AP Fastboot (plug into computer usb)
• Open Command Prompt

• cd desktop [enter]
• cd moto-fastboot [enter]
• moto-fastboot flash logo.bin BWBOOTLOGO.img [enter]
• moto-fastboot reboot [enter]

Hey man, we appreciate all your hard work. This is the best rom I've had yet. Thanks so much! Quick question, on your page it says LTE will connect after selecting GSM only which I've done in build 36. Then down it says LTE won't connect. Does that mean on boot? Or it won't connect at all?

huh? if your running AOKP for right now, there is no LTE, in Network type it will display eHRPD:13 .. which is 3g. Toggle method should be the same for both builds, with the acception of CM9 getting 4g data. so, follow this:

Simply open Phone Info (found in app drawer), select phone information, then Set preferred network type: to GSM only, Wait for the screen to flicker and then wait about 3 to 5 seconds, then toggle it to LTE/GSM/CDMA auto (PRL). You should only have to do this after booting, as data is pretty damn solid now on the new kernel. ..

OK sounds good. I'm a Bootstrap kind of guy wanted to make sure as the other Black Widow allowed both SS and BS.

i still need a few testers to flash CM9 so i know the autoscript works, until then people are limited to Aokp, which has only 3g working right now, but still great for the peeps who dont live in a 4G area and want the upgrade

Both BW ROMS, CM9/AOKP, will look the complete same in every way. Just the difference between CM9 and AOKP are simply compared through the options of customizations possible to be made throughout the system. CM9 has way more options, but imo Aokp has a few extras and then some of the greatness cm9 brings to the table..
