Which phone do you have?..... you said when you boot from safestrap or cwm..... you can't run both ..... if you are on a RAZR( xt912) safestrap is all you can actually use...... :)

Also.... are you trying to flash ROM over stock slot?

Device is locked so CWM isn't an option really. When using Matt's utility, did you use option 1 or 2?

There was (at one point) a weird , pretend version of "cwm" that was causing havoc with our 912's.... hopefully that is not what you tried to use.....

Thanks for the quick response. I used option 1. Thanks for your time

Thanks for the quick response. Should i have used the stock slot? I have the droid razr xt912 cdma i used bootstrap to boot into cwm but every time i booted up from cwm i got the error, when i tried to use safestrap i choose rom slot 1 made a partition and installed the rom activated the slot but upon reboot i either was presented with the error or would boot the Motorola M logo, ask if i would like to use safestarp but after selecting no would get a black screen for 2-5 min then back to the Motorola M logo after letting the phone do that multiple times i selected yes for safestap and then booted the stock rom and the used that. Thanks for your time.

I dont believe that is what i used, i used rom manger, that selected a recovery, and then used bootstap to boot into that recovery.

You need to use the utility option 1.... then root then install safestrap...... do not use ROM manager to install recovery..... any version of cwm is not compatible with the xt912..... you can install recovery from safestrap... when you reboot into SS you can create a ROM slot to flash your ROM :).....

You can do that as well.... but the utility clears everything :) ..... you may want to backup and wipe your internal and external storage as well..... just to be sure everything is fresh and clean.....

Used matts utility option 1. Phone booted sucessfuly, not a big surprise. Rooted it with matts utilty option 3. Phone rooted and booted sucessfully. Then used matts utility option 4 to install safestrap (will never go back to cwm). App installed sucessfully. Used safestrap to install recovery. Then put the jellywiz rom onto multiple places on my phone. That is all i have done should i overwrite my stock rom slot or should i delete it or just make a new one. Touchwiz overlord (creator of the rom) says to

3.Delete your current rom slot
4. Remake a new rom slot

i am not sure how to interpret "delete your current rom slot" ill i have is my stock rom slot  :(

Leave stock alone :) ... in SS hit boot options... then choose slot 1,2,3,or 4 it will prompt you to create slot....when that is done (it will take a few min) .... hit install.... then find your ROM zip (should be on sdcard) ... select it then it will say "swipe to flash"

Again leave stock slot alone :)

Created rom slot 1 Data partition size 2GB. Activated rom slot, wiped cache, dalvik cache, factory rest, and wiped system. Then i flashed the zip and wiped cache and dalvik, then rebooted system. Presented with motorola M and also with safestrap continued without safestap and presented with black screen for 30 seconds screen flashed then presented with motorola M again aswell as safestap and then again it did that!!!  :( went back into safestap again then tryed power off. Then i powered device on motorola M and safestap  and presented with black screen for 30 seconds screen flashed then presented with motorola M what do i do cannot boot beyond safestrap!!!

Boot into safestrap..... switch to stock.... see if it boots....if it does then there is s problem with the ROM slot or ROM zip.... .. also, was your ROM zip on internal or external (.needs to be on the root of external)

It is also possible that the ROM zip is corrupted try redownloading :)

Clearing system without installing a ROM means your phone literally has no operating system to even attempt to boot

Hopefully if you cleared system it was on ROM slot and not stock..... try deleting the ROM slot and recreating it..... if you cleared internal storage you have effectively wiped the safestrap data.....
