Change the led color to black.... BOOM!

Now, that's one I never thought of.

I just went and deleted my whole post because i am staying away from 2 things from now on. 4.2.2 and build.prop. beware the powers that it has. i tried using it to change the led light and some battery saving tweaks i found and it broke my recovery and my data partition. as in my data partition was ruined. i had to go and fastboot twrp back on and then format/edit permissions. im gonna post the led fix i found as im pretty sure that was not the cause but please understand that you must be careful with that dangerous SOB called build.prop. the prop for led light was persist.sys.charge_led=off

again be careful guys. this rom/port is great and in no way am i bashing it. it was my own fault this happened im just forewarning so the next inquisitive idiot does not make the same mistake.

Is there any other way to flash a rom other than putting it onto the phone and going into recovery. Could I possibly do it through a cmd prompt window or something of that nature. I can not seem to get any rom to load onto my phone. I have tried every different combo of wipe mount reboot I can come up with and nothing will take they all say that they load however once i reboot the phone they just go into a boot loop and I can't figure it out.... any ideas?

I'm starting to have some issues with this rom, when connected to my Bluetooth headset I get a reboot and it hangs on the boot screen until I force it.
I also have noticed that some apps are starting to freeze on me eg ebay constantly tells me to log in even though I do.

I've tried fixing permissions but to no avail. Any ideas?

hello, my name is jco, and I'm a flashaholic.  I had been sober for 15 days... but fell off the wagon with this ROM... sound pickup is not too bad on camcorder, otherwise, everything is great.

finally resolved my issue of installing updates: adding in "wipe system" to the process helps.  this does NOT erase any data, just the system ROM.

battery life is quite nice (1% drain per hour while in sleep mode on wifi).  20hrs, 33%, 1hr 22m on-screen.

this also includes some under the hood tinkering....

i have not tried the arrgh kernel yet.... is anyone using this?

update - no issue for me in turning off LED while charging - just set the option to OFF in LED under ROM control.

Tim, you've done some nice work on this ROM (4.2.2).  perhaps I'll try 4.3 next.  my only concern are the issues others have reported when flashing between 4.3 and other ROMs.  I presume TWRP 2.6 is required to install 4.3?  otherwise, my steps would be:

mount system

wipe data/factory reset

wipe system

reboot recovery

install ROM

mount system

install 4.3 GApps

reboot

profit
