That is totally strange you can't download to your Phone...I prefer the phone method...Is your Safestrap Activated or the older versions still in place...Sounds like a Dusting n Cleaning in the Slot and a Reflash...

Nope. I have tried to download directly to my phone and it will not flash. My laptop can download it a lot faster anyway and I automatically have a copy on my computer.

Once Root and Safestrap is in place...shouldn't be an Issues...My Opinion

Yes Safestrap is active.  I have flashed other ROMS with no problem.  Heres the steps I took using Safestrap 3.65:

1) Deleted ROM Slot 1

2) Recreated ROM Slot 1

3) Cleared the Cache

4) Flashed the ZIP file

5) Cleared the Cache

6) Rebooted

Does it matter what slot I am trying to load this in?

OK...I downloaded it to the computer first.  Then I copied it to my phone.  Followed the steps I outlined previously.  When I get to the reboot screen, I see a message.  Something to the effect of.."There is no operating system...would you still like to reboot?"

Any ideas?

I had a similar problem. You might find help around post 1126 or so regarding mounting the system

That fixed the problem.  Thank you so much. I'll let it settle and I'll start exploring.

A functionality question.  I use my phone in the car a lot, and in stock when I put it in the car dock it switches into vehicle mode automatically.  Will that work with this ROM?

Not sure on the car dock. I use my phone in the car as well but use a different app for that. Let me know if it works. I was just looking into car docks myself

I have the motorola car dock from verizon, so it knows when it gets put in there. That's one reason I am looking at a blurry ROM.

What app do you use?

Also, does anyone know if HDMI works? I don't use it alot, but I love the functionality especially when travelling.

Haven't used this rom myself but it's a Blur based rom so my guess is that HDMI works on it.

OK.....new problem I think...I finally got the phone to boot and as part of the setup it said that it had a software update and did I want to install it.  I said yes, it downloaded a package.  It then asked if I wanted in install the package and it would take about 10 minutes. Asked I wanted to install now I said yes.  The phone started to shut down and reboot. After reboot it sat there with the Android image on it's back with the chest open for a while, it then finally came back on.  It went into the phone for a about 20 seconds and it rebooted again.  Android image...startup...reboot...it's now been going through this for the last half hour over and over.

Is this just the package installing and it's normal?  Or am I stuck in some sort of loop?  What will happen if I strap back into stock?

It seems to reboot every time it starts to search for service and the Motorola Privacy statement is going to be displayed.

I need my phone functional.

OK...I went back into SafeStrap and got back to Stock.  Everything seems fine.  I am going to start over with this ROM

I deleted the Romslot and started totally over.  This time I went through all the updates before I installed the update.  Is this part of process for this ROM?  Is there a JB update out there for Stock too?  In any case, after everything was done I ried installing the update again.  In the notes it says it will take 10 minutes to complete.  I am back in the loop.  I am going to go back into SafeStrap, boot Stock, then go back into Safestrap and boot Blurry.

You have to pay for the pro version of Antek to get rid of it.

Hopefully you have everything functional now.  Looks like you installed the new Moto update that was pushed.  I never deleted the OTA update apk in the ROMs /system because I thought the OG razr would never see another update.  You can manually delete or freeze that BlurUpdater apk to get rid of the annoying message.

Go into antek settings and make it transparent.
