No, not the USB tether, but using hotspot to connect to a computer. If that works, then we know it's not CM with the issue. Just trying to problem solve :p

Oh ok, I think I understand you now. Instead of my tablet, try like my laptop wifi connect with hotspot, correct?

But then why does it work in AOKP with my tablet. Same form of built in tether I assume?

Yes, it probably wont make a difference, but it's just trying a different thing.

I got a bit of time today to invert the mms.apk. This will be included in the next update, but if you want it now:

Lol I give up on this. And in all this screwing around, apparently when I did a "Factory Reset" in CM, it wiped out some apps I had installed in AOKP on the Sdcard storage so I'm busy restoring them. Urgggggg. Have no idea what's up with my phone.

It seems Google only keeps one copy of an app. Same thing happened to me when I tried setting two ROMs with the same apps. Deleted then from the first one when I installed then on the second one.

I have no idea what's going on. Thought I had AOKP fixed in Slot 2 which I didn't even touch but ever since messing around with CM10.1 in Slot 1, I've totally screwed that setup somehow. Been having lockups all day and finally just reached an eternal bootlop so I'm having to start from scratch now with AOKP also. :( :( :(

Crazy question here:

If I recall all Aviators Updates noted in the OP states...OTA Updates Right!

Notice the CM Updates on this ROM too in About Phone...is this a conflict...if on Aviators... wouldn't it Retro back to CM 10.1 or is this user friendly for both?

Yes, if you update CM you will lose some Aviator tweaks and things. I will try to keep up with the CM "stable releases" and update Aviator CM10.1 ROM. This obviously takes time :)

1st boot got to gmail set up but couldn't connect even though I was connected to WiFi. Rebooted fixed permissions wiped cache, dalvik and fixed that problem. Home and search buttons didn't work, unknown sources wouldn't stay checked after i checked it, and verify apps kept re checking itself. Status bar battery icon wouldn't change. Restarted phone And All seems to be working now. :) sorry for the book just thought I'd share.

Crap, I have some CyanogenMod Downloader notices that are stuck on my status bar. I've tried clearing caches, uninstalling, deleting orphan files, nothing seems to get rid of them. I even restarted clearing both caches. WTF??? Edit: alright, had unknown setting AND stumbled into the solution...GET CONNECTED!!! (duh!) sent via RazrMaxx over Tapatalk, y'all!

Hello, I bet you are already working on fixes for these bugs in the next update, but I was wondering if you could maybe help beforehand..

1. No working WiFi tether
2. No working google voice on standard keyboard
3. Data says on but will not work until I turn the data off than on again

I have to ask first, did you read the entire OP including the bugs section, and did you follow the instructions which included deleting and recreating the ROM slot? I only say this because in my experience I had similar issues to you if I did not delete the ROM slot.

Yes I did

Can you please try and reflash with deleting and recreating the ROM slot again. The installation process should go exactly as the instructions say. After the final reboot, everything should be working just fine. It might hang when trying to change a setting (status bar icon changes), but a reboot will fix that. I have flashed this ROM many times and everything is working for me. I have not done anything else, apart from what the instructions say. I know the WiFi system (tether and regular) is a little buggy, but it should still work. :)

20130703 NIGHTLY download is up! See the OP!

This is based on the 20130703 CM10.1 Spyder Nightly source. Still testing myself, so far so good - Be patient and let the phone settle after setup is complete. Give it a good 5-10 minutes.

Enjoy it if you take the plunge! :D
