I can seem to get the wifi tether app working is there a certain device profile I need to set it as?  I tried downloading flashing the CM11 WifiAP file and it still doesn't work.  It just spins saying starting tethering.  This is on CM11 Kitkat

So is it me or does anyone else think that the 20140104 update is worse then the 20131231 update? My phone was running flawlessly on the 12-31 update but as soon as I updated my phone kinda went downhill....Idk if anyone else is seeing this or feels the same way but I went back to the 12-31 update of the ROM and just loving it right now. Only issue I get is the whole freaking screen not responding and being stuck on the backlight when I lock the screen. Having to reboot the whole enchilada. Lol. Other than that its an amazing ROM. Also is their gonna be another update soon ? Really anxious to see new improvements espically to this whole phone not responding glitch I get when I lock my phone. It gets pretty annoying lol....

Okay,, sorry about this question... may have been covered earlier.. I've just flashed the latest nightly for KK and want to change the screen resolution.  Here is my problem... I go into es file explorer, access the buildprop with editor and attempt to change the value to 240 as per instructions.  When I hit the save button in the upper right corner of the editor, it sends a pop up at the bottom of the screen stating that this operation needs elevated permission try changing root access mode.  In other words, it won't let me save the file.  I've granted ES file explorer root access...so i'm not sure why I can't save..

If you're settings are still set at r/o that may be the reason for your message

Yes. In es explorer settings, I tapped on root explorer, chose Mount r/w, and then selected the r/w option for each item. Still unable to save

I think I'm stuck in a boot loop. I always have the red kit kat boot logo showing. I was on 10.1 and was trying to go to KK.

Just redo your process to Reflash from scratch or Create a New Slot and Flash your Nandroid (Backup)

Yes its okay...

Not sure why this is not working...
Crazy question:
After you Create a New Slot are you doing the following before flashing your choice of ROM:
* Wipe Cache
* Wipe Data
* Wipe Factory
* Wipe System
* Reboot

Buckeye good Buddy...

Follow the process with Wipes No Advance wiping is Involved...
All your choices for Wipes are shown on your Safestrap Screen..
Follow those steps your Bootlooping issues will be done
