Hello all,

I just flashed: Aviator_CM11_KitKat_NIGHTLY_20131207

I cleared the cache and dalvik cache and rebooted

 

I keep getting the error:

unfortunately andriod keyboard(AOSP) has stopped.

 

I can't get the keyboard to work for any apps. Any way to fix this?

Just download "Google Keyboard" from Play Store and set it as default keyboard..

I had the Android.System actually stop. Unless I'm typing this incorrectly. I couldn't do anything with the system even after a wipe and re-install. Same problem still occurs.

My bad. I flashed the wrong gapp version. Flashed gapp-kk-20131206 and I'm good to go. Thanks

the Official/Experimental CM 12/7 is 4.4.1

 

in About Phone, yours says 4.4 is this a typo or is yours based on a different build?

It is 4.4.1. I probably just used parts of the 4.4 build.prop that had the 4.4 number in there. I'll correct it next time

I am really enjoying this ROM. It's been the best I've used so far! A quick question, I have been using the Kit Kat launcher. When I updated to the 12/7 build it went away. Did I screw something up or was it removed? Thanks!

 

edit: cm11 Aviator 4.4 rom btw.

Hey ZK..really enjoying the ROM. I have only noticed one thing. I'm using a theme that has inverted contacts (people). I'm seeing the photo, but the names held onto a black font color. As such, I'm unable to see the names. Would this be a ROM tweek or a theme issue?

It's more of a theme tweak. Was the theme made for 4.4? There might be some changes through the versions that will cause that.

Thanks ZK. I can check into theme. It worked fine on your original release of the ROM though. This just happened after flashing your latest nightly.

Hmm... Well I didn't mess with the contacts at all so I don't think anything I have done would cause that. Let me know how it goes

I am please with this build. This is the first ROM I have flashed in almost a year because support has reduced so much for our aging phones. Thanks so much for your work.

Would you  guys recommend this for a daily driver?  I'm looking for a new DD since BW 4.1 is buggy and this looks pretty cool. Do I have to update to a new stock 4.2 first? Do I also need to put this in the first slot? My current rom is in my first slot would it be okay to delete it then install new CM while in SS?

4.1.2 needs to be in Slot 1 while 4.4 is ok in any slot. 4.1.2 and 4.4 still has it's small bugs (read the bugs list in the OP) but it should be ok for a daily driver depending on your needs.

This is 4.1.2 or 4.2.2? I'm talking about 4.2.2 CM. I seen the bugs, but the bugs BW has is sometimes  it won't show pictures on Facebook or Twitter until I clear the cache in SS and sometimes MMS won't send and  many others. Plus I wanted to get updated to a new version. BW is 4.1.2 and the CM is 4.2.2

No biggie, but I do have to convert my stock rom to 4.2.2 or can I just flash this coming from black widow 4.1.2?
