I also switched back to the 22 build while I am in a known 3g switching area. I also was totally out of service in a metal building. Service cane back immediately when leaving the building. It switched back and forth from 3g to 4g all day without dropping service. In my case, it appears to be an intermittent issue for service loss. I don't know if I'll be able to verify a fix or not?

I tried to replace the XML file, but could not on the PC or the phone. I was able to change the build.prop. Not sure what to do to change the APN file to try this fix.

 

Use 7zip to "open archive" and then drag and drop into the ROM. I will do this in the next update, but I wont be home for a few more days

drop it on your SD card....copy it....paste in system/etc

I must be doing something wrong. I can't do the drag and drop, and the 7zip method isn't working very clearly for me. I'll just wait for ZK to try it in the next update. Thanks for the help though. And Happy Thanksgiving.

The main priority should be faced is stable CDMA 3G.. 3G hasn't been working on a CM build since 4.2.2.. None of the other devs in XDA, Hashcode and Dhacker still haven't addressed it and haven't got it working..

Other then that I'm very impressed with your guys work on the build.. MP also has a very stable build.. Just no 3G.. Even if there was a patch to be made would be wonderful.. But yet none has came about.. I'm willing to test..

Btw, I modified ArtMOD with tons of KK (4.4) mods:

-KitKat Stock Icons
-KitKat Sounds
-KitKat Camera
-KitKat Gallery
-Modded battery 1% icons to CM bar icon
-Replaced Apex with Holo Launcher(less RAM consumption)
-Undervolted for more battery
-Added extra I/O modules
-sqllite and sysclt tweaks
-Minfree values maxed without closing too many apps

I wouldn't mind helping out, atleast with testing.. I tend to push stuff to the "Maxx"..

In saying that, I only have a limited amount of time to work on this stuff which is usually at the hotel on an overnight. I can tell you this.. People have done some tweaking and figured out that dhackers kernel is missing a file, but without a decent laptop and the SDK.. I'm limited to just testing.. I have a ancient P.O.S. laptop that literally slugs along with Win XP..

But I been keeping track and flashing everyone's work on slot 1..

Your build is the most non-CM11 based feel out.. So getting the missing file and the 3G working would make you stand out a quite a bit more.. I quit developing when my Moto Cliq became obsolete.. Then ran into the bad part of my life when I was homeless.. So unless I magically pull a couple thousand dollars outta my arse.. I'm just gonna be your loyal tester..

But I'll keep ya posted..

K thanks a lot cause I know of atleast 20+ PagePlus customers (3G only) that would grovel at your feet if ya got it running.. =p

I have had no luck trying the 11/26 pre CM or this one. They drain battery fast and drop signal often. Even though on Stock I have a strong 4g signal as I am in a major city,

 

Im not sure anything later than 4.1.2 has a good signal on any ROMs?

10.1 CM does.. But it still drops time to time.. That's why I just modded the EU JB Stock that Art posted.. For a daily driver.. Its so stable its under my stock on SS..

No its a 4.1.2 that's been severely modded to resemble 4.4.. Only thing that doesn't look 4.4 is the notification and status bar.. I spent about 2 weeks fine-tuning it to work perfectly, no random restarts, don't even need a task killer really.. Look at post #427..

As far as signal strength goes, I get the best signal of any 4.2 and later ROM's with this one.  The bars are equal to my stock ROM in the same location.  I just continue to have the intermittent drop of service all together.  When it drops, I have to reboot.  Toggling airplane mode won't even bring it back.  Like I said earlier, it even switched back and forth between 3g and 4g great yesterday.  Then late last night, it just dropped all service again.  

 

When I turn on the CPU Sleeper, I get decent battery life.  Not quite as good as with Aviator Blur 3.0.9, but better than with other 4.2 and later ROMs.
