Seems this might be a known bug on all CM build

The Hardware Key change does not work. I changed the search to recent app and it still function as search, also updating the .kl file from SEARCH > APP_SWITCH does nothing also.

If most of your choices are not working...Reflash and start over...

Not having any issues your experiencing...all your changes your doing could be compounding your problems...

This is happening on other CM 10 build by other dev too so thats why I'm stating this.  There was a post back in April reporting the same issue on the XDA thread but it never got responded to.  I did the whole delete rom slot 1, create rom slot 1 and went through the whole process and search key > recent app does not work.  Neither is udpating the .kl file.

Is this something that happens a lot? I really like the look and feel of the ROM. After shutting off and getting back into Safestrap I performed a cache/dalvik wipe and rebooted and it would not start the ROM. Just got a black screen. I waited for over a minute for the video splash screen to start and nothing happened.. why this happened??

Have you deleted unnecessary CM Updater files recently?

Could clear Caches & Data...
*Settings... Apps...All...scroll to CM Updater...Reboot...

Downloaded this and set it up, works great! One small problem, pop-up windows and menus hide the main window when they come up. Is this fixable/normal/what's going on?

 

First screenshot is from longpressing a song in Apollo, second is the built in SMS pop-up.

Can I get some confirms/fixes to some issues. 1. 4g my 4g sucks. It will not stay on for more than a few minutes if at all. 2. Hotspot. Flick on hotspot. Radio shuts off. Fixes?

WiFi in general is funky on this CM10.1. Every time I want to use the hotspot I need to turn off WiFi, reboot and then run the hotspot. If I then want to use WiFi, I need to stop the hotspot, reboot and turn on WiFi. 4g will sometimes not work upon rebooting, but usually I turn data off then on and it turns out fine. If not a reboot normally solves it. I know its annoying, but we are stuck with it for now

Does it matter which way you turn it off? It's working pretty good now but I figured I should ask in case I run into the problem later. Secondly Spotify won't stay logged in. Is this also normal?

All I do is turn on Hotspot... End Of Story... Working Great with No Hesitation... Awful Nice u might say... Password on the initial Setup of course It's Bubba "Stubborn In Your Bones"

Who's had good experience in fixing the no-see-SD card issue? Plz delete, got it working via kamikaze technique. sent via RazrMaxx over Tapatalk, y'all!

Just added this ROM.  I also have the Blur version as well but this CM10.1 version seems to have it all!  WiFi tethering is working.  Signal is just fine.  LED Notification customizations work.  GPS apps are working too.  Multiple volumes can be changed in the volume settings.  All the added goodies from 4.2 without losing too much speed and performance.

 

This is an outstanding ROM once you delete ROM Slot 1 a few times, wipe the cache and privileges several times as explained in the instructions and you should be good to go!  I did run into several bugs at the beginning.  Home button wouldn't work at all, google speech would crash every time (update to app needed), and a variety of other issues I won't go into because they all got fixed with a reflash/wipe of the cache...etc.  Photosphere isn't in the camera app but hopefully that will be added soon .

 

Thank you again 007!  Really great work here.  I do see where its not AS snappy as Blur but honestly its not bad at all.  We'll see how it stacks up once I get all my apps loaded up and see if it slows down then.  Until then...Great job!

Alright...got my first bug thats annoying me enough to post it.

 

I am unable to update the main phone ringtones.  I can open the list to select from but when I actually select the new ringtone I want it will not update from the default values assigned during the initial install.

 

Any help?

 

EDIT:  I think my Zedge app messed up the ringtone folder locations.  In the process of fixing now manually but I do not think this is a ROM issue.  Sorry for the false alarm.

Hello again

 

Is anyone having issues sending images over Text?  I tried the MMS fix listed in the OP but am still unable to send images via text.  I see the image appear and it says "Sending" but the image is never sent.  Hangouts works to send images so I know its not a signal thing...thoughts?

Man I REALLY like this ROM but I might have to drop this ROM if I can't get the texts to start working.  Group texts are also acting up quite a bit.  Would clearing cache and permissions be a good starting place?

Photosphere isn't in the camera app but hopefully that will be added soon .

I thought it was a hardware limitation.

No gyroscope that's needed for Photosphere.

The latest stable CM came out on the 23rd so I'm going to get to putting a new Aviator CM out based on the latest stable build!

I've added v1.0.2 to the OP. This works with Safestrap 3.60 as well as the old 3.11. You might experience the hot reboot when setting up WiFi just like the older version. The fix is the same: Wipe cache, dalvik cache and fix permissions. I have not inverted the MMS app on the new version. I will do this sometime in the future.

 

Let me know if anyone has any new issues. I'll give it a day or two before I push this via OTA Updater, so just ignore the OTA Update notification for now.
