Info: Bionic, on the JB OTA with SafeStrap and CM10.1 on ROM Slot 1

I was messing around in the stock partition when I noticed on my next reboot it hung on the boot animation, won't do anything for about 5 minutes until I battery pulled (I was deleting TB's odex files in /system/apps and I must have deleted an actual apk)

I need to FXZ back to stock and completely wipe the phone.

I booted into AP Fastboot Mode and tried using RSD Lite 5.7 and

FXZ file. On step 5/24, I get an error: "Failed flashing oem fb_mode_set". Quick google and I was told to remove some lines from an XML file, which I did and it still failed.

I'm not familiar with House of Bionic, would that help me? It seems my main problem is that SafeStrap is enabled when I need normal recovery back.

Any help is appreciated.

HoB should get you going. If you haven't used it before, be sure to read the FAQ's as 99.9% of issues with it have been addressed . BTW , can you boot into recovery ( not Safestrap)

HoB will hook you up.  Try the "keep data" option first so you don't lose everything.  If that doesn't work, the full FXZ should.  You'll have to re-root afterwards.

I'm not sure keep data will work if you have SS enabled, if you can just uninstall recovery, you don't have to delete the app. You can also use HoB to protect root and MAYBE not have to go through the reroot process (this wont work if you do the full FXZ since it will pretty much erase everything and rebuild it.)

It won't work for a Keep Data, either. Using Keep Data with SS is potentially ok since it should be keeping the data from the stock OS not the SS slots.  But root will definitely be lost if you use the HoB or a straight FXZ.  And that will be the only way to fix this.  Sorry for the delayed response...I've been on various vacations the last couple weeks and finally getting caught up.

Got stuck in a bind the other day and I have got to say that the HOB with keeping Data is a breeze and fixed my issue when I couldn't even get the stock bootanimation to boot up. Black screen right after SS. FXZ with keeping Data and had to re-root it from the link posted in the tread. I even did it all using Ubuntu 12.10 x64 without a hicup. Much thanks to you SamuriHL.
