Hey zk or cmh sort of non related question but i thought you might be able to help. does aokp have a version with soft keys? Here's my problem. I dropped my phone outside yesterday and it got rained on for about 20 minutes. Once i found it i took otter box case off and it was a bit wet. Immediately i noticed my hard keys are not working. So i cut it off put in a bag of rice for 12 hours. Rebooted it this morning and still the hard keys not working. Ive noticed if i lock the screen then unlock it, they go sparatic for a few seconds then no response again. Didn't know if there was a recalibration tool for the touch screen or if I'm just screwed or what. Right now I'm using floating touch until i find a rom with soft keys. I know aviator blur has them, but does aokp? You never really know how much you use them(hardkeys) till they are gone. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 4 Beta

Thats a bummer Matt. I do not know of any soft key packages for AOKP. Will keep an eye out tho.

Thanks man yea it looks like they are done for (hard keys). Floating touch has worked nice for me so far. Reckon I'll restore my old blur aviator and add some soft keys in there.

Sorry to hear man. Yeah, unfortunately no soft keys for Aviator AOKP at this stage.

I had another lockup and had to hard-reboot at lunchtime today. I had been listening to Poweramp through bluetooth headphones when a call came in. I was on the call, switched to handset because it was noisy in the gym with the fans on, and after getting off the call, Poweramp resumed playing on my headphones. Another song played, and then the music just stopped. So I hit the button to wake up the phone, and the pull-down shade was still down, displaying the song that had been playing when the call started/ended. And the phone responsive. So I did a couple of reboots, even one with a cache/dalvik/fix perms wipe, but had to boot back into stock.

 

Any ideas? Maybe it's something with kexec roms or something?

When i plugged my RAZR into the computer to move a few files from the SD card to my computer i noticed this... every folder comes up 4 times, and each folder has the same thing in it. I know AOKP has some issues writing to the SD with camera but idk whats goin on here. I tried it in (MTP) and Mass storage , MTP i got all the identical folders and it would not even read the phone in mass storage. Anyone know whats going on???

 

EDIT* I CANNOT COPY OR CUT ANYTHING FROM MY SD CARD? LOOKS LIKE THIS PROBLEM IS MORE SERIOUS THAN I THOUGHT.

 

 

 

 

p.s. can anyone give me a good recommendation of some ROMs that have webtop/HDMI working. I know blur aviator has it, anymore?

This is an AOKP issue. It is a pain, but if you disconnect and reconnect it should solve it. I found that it will write to the internal SD OK. So if you need to, put your files on the internal and then move them to the external using a file explorer. I know its not ideal

That's what I thought, but I haven't found the 'sunset silhouette' with the AOKP symbol in the lower right. Or, the same with the Cyanogen symbol. I've settled on AOKP as my daily ROM.
