I was running CM 10 and CWM on my XT907.  (this was the thread I used to get that setup -

Audio was questionable so I decided to go back to stock.  Current OS and recovery status is unknown because I cannot get anywhere to see them.

I cannot boot the phone.  I get the fastboot menu everytime I try to boot it regardless of key combos

I have read through about a dozen different threads with variations of this problem.  None exactly like mine.  I have tried several different solutions from RSD Lite restores to Droid Razr M Utility.

(error from utility - "'fastboot' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.")

My goal is to have rooted with a stock image that I can debloat.

This is what my Fastboot Menu displays. Thoughts anyone?

Sounds like you are either not it the folder with fastboot when running the commands or you do not have it on your computer. Have you tried matts utility?

With the utility.... you have to completely extract the zip file to desktop and run the executable(.bat file for windows or .sh file for Linux and Mac) from within the folder
And for windows, make sure your drivers are up to date..... :)

The utility you are all referring to is the one I have tried to use and I get the error message.  I am running it from my desktop as well with admin access.

(error from utility - "'fastboot' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.")

Indeed.... the only reason you should be getting that error is that the utility is not "seeing" the fastboot files which are included in the utility..... try to extract the utility again.....make sure you are using winrar or WinZip to extract (they are typically the best for complete extraction) then try running again :)

As stated above that is the error when you have not extracted the Utility properly. What did you use to extract it? Try winrar...

I ran it from my Linux machine and it ran flawlessly.  I've had so many problems doing anything with my devices on Windows 8.  Thanks guys.
