Was wondering if anyone else happens to be having this same issue I had with both ICS leaks so far (currently on .84).

Basically it's kind of related to the needing to press the power button multiple times to pull up the screen issue. The thing is, my phone has been hard freezing now much more frequently on the new leak. I can't pinpoint an exact trigger.

Basically the screen is off and it's just totally unresponsive to any kind of power button press. Long, twice, whatever, nothing. Has to be hard reset (power button and volume down) and then after that it seems to work fine. Before you ask, I'm not an amateur at flashing and tinkering so I've already tried factory resetting numerous times and I always do a full wipe from recovery before changing ROMs. Hasn't helped.

Twice it happened as I put my phone to charge overnight. Because the damn thing froze, none of my alarms went off. On at least 3 occasions, I tapped the power button, saw the screen go off, let it sit for a few minutes, saw a blinking notification light for an email (I usually keep it on silent while I'm at school/work), and when I tried to turn on the screen, nothing. The notification light continued blinking though. Also, once when I was using mobile hotspot, the phone froze again. Interestingly, the internet continued to work though until I did a hard reset. So I think it's still functioning underneath all that crap somewhere. It's just very confusing and annoying because it's totally random and that's what makes it dangerous. I don't even know when my phone isn't responding. As far as I can tell, it's not taking calls either. And like many of you, I'm stuck on .84 until our wonderful devs can come up with a solution so fast boot isn't even an option either.

Don't mean to sound whiny or anything - just wondering, have you all been experiencing these weird lock-ups as well? I've read through a number of ICS bugs threads and while I know random rebooting is mentioned, I haven't seen this issue described entirely.

I had one freezing incident when I had the first ICS leak. I have installed the newest one released (.84) and haven't experienced any random reboots or freezing so far. I do have the problem where it sometimes takes a few presses of the power button to turn the screen on and sometimes lag. Hopefully the final version/new leak will help you with that issue, I know it's frustrating when alarms don't work. (experienced this with one of my old phones)

i havent really had this problem. the only gripe i do have alot of my games run like crap on the leak that worked wonderful on GB. besides that it never freezes up on me and never gives me any problems even with locking.
