I was able to use this tool to downgrade to the original 4.1.2, root, protect root and update. I was not on 9.20.1 though. I was on 9.18.79. That should not really matter, but I am not sure.

Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 4 Beta

Yes, that is the big question. I haven't received a definite answer, however it's looking like if the stock phone has 9.20.1 it cannot be SBF and start from scratch like I used to do with the Dx.

Maybe someone is working on a new root exploit, who knows. In my experience though, as interest wanes in a certain model phone, developers tend to follow the flow.

never seen that video 20 times before. way to be original!

Easy......

If your phone is on the most current OTA... then this is not what you need :)

If it is then try either re down loading the utility, or delete and then re extract.... reboot computer.... side note: be sure to install current drivers and be fully charged :)

im not sure im following. i don't have my original stock backups due to a dead SD card. I was on a soak test OTA 4.1.2 though before flashing CM 10.1.

bootloader is unlocked of course.

how would the old stock system version matter if im unlocked w/ twrp and cm?

Because the new version (OTA) locks the boot loader ..... and we don't want that :)

Btw the ota does not lock the bootloader. It does remove the ability to unlock if not already. Mike has twrp so he is already unlocked.

I figured relocking the bootloader was rarely possible (although I remember hearing about some atrix relocking or something?)

Anyway I cant get past "press any button to launch utility" still..

Ok, hope this is the correct place for this. I don't know what happened, I was on beanstalk 4.3.3 (Unlocked 926)and transferring pics from computer to phone. USB got unplugged in middle and froze the phone. Upon rebooting...NOTHING. It will not read my internal memory at all, says there is 0 space on internal memory. Wont wipe or anything. Im using TWRP. HELPPPPPP!!!!! I tried RSD and this utility and nothing.

OUCH. Sounds like you should be DQ'ed for an AD :)

Seriously though, what happened when you tried RSD or the utility? Did it see the phone?
