Can't use foxfi on a rooted phone, screws it up. Don't know why but it does, always will.

I just tried mine through settings, had it set to open and connected wife's droid x running VLXR just fine.

Tried reflashing the ROM, hoping the simple answer would be the right one. Not so. And I've tried turning it on (and off) through settings and the quick toggle.

Does the baked in tether require root permissions? If so I was never prompted to allow it.

Fixed it. Ran fix permissions in recovery. Funny how posting the word "permissions" made my brain go "hey stupid try fixing permissions". Thanks to everyone for the tips.

That's the idea. I try to post my inner monologue when troubleshooting something like that for that very reason. Well not my entire inner monologue. Circus music isn't the easiest thing to post

Is there a noted MMS/SMS issue with this ROM? Any suggested work around? Mine doesn't like to receive/send MMS messages.

Thanks.

Tried Textra, seems to work as long as I'm not on wifi. Does Go SMS work on wifi?

Much appreciated.

Edit: The MMS that is, my SMS works on Wifi.

I have been messing around with Verizon Messaging from the app store. It's pretty solid and yes it works on WiFi and non active devices..

Yeah I put that app on my tablet, WiFi only, linked it with my cell number and now I can text with it or my phone. Pretty cool.

If you are on a business plan, you can't use it.  That really blows because I think the business person is the one that can benefit the most.  It is a nice app though.

I didn't know it even had that restrictions on it, bummer. You are right though since one can link even there PC or laptop and send and receive there messages. That would be a great thing for the modern business man..
