Ok so here is my question. I have RSD back to 6.11.744 and then manualy OTA to 6.12.173, but it wont push the OTA for 6.12.181. How do I get on 181? Do we have fastboot files so that I can flash stock 181? Sorry if this is a dumb question. I was already running the old ICS Leak. Any thoughts on why I can't achieve 181?

uninstall app
root exploere go to
system/bin
delete HIJACK
delete LOGWRAPPER
rename LOGWRAPPER.BIN to LOGWRAPPER

reboot

Ok, I deleted Razr Bootstrap, then I'm in the system/bin folder. When I try to delete hijack or logwrapper I get "x cannot be deleted" where x is either hijack or logwrapper.

I'm sorry, guys. I'm extremely rusty. :-(

Edit: Again, missed the mount option in settings. I think I'm good to go. My Maxx is rebooting. When it's back up is there a way for me to make sure I did this successfully, or am I good if it just boots and doesn't go to the recovery?

It's a checksum. Just press ctrl+s to download it and rename it to .crc instead of .crc.txt

Honestly man... i would use matts tool to restore back to .173.. its easy to use and proven. Ive had ota updates fail even after removing bootstrap and a fresh restore back to stock.

I think I'm good to go! Checked the Bin and I don't have a Hijack or a logwrapper! Now I just have to wait another hour to get this file downloaded. It's at 95.3/343 and I'm on a 30 down connection!

I've really missed how fun it is to play with Android. I was always too chicken to jailbreak my iPhone.

That's for sure. This thing feels like a beast in my hand after having iPhones.

In regards to going back to 173 stock with Matt's tool (which I've seen referenced elsewhere) will that work even if I used motofail? I've seen it said it was fine and that it wasn't fine....

I tried SBFing back from the earlier ICS leak to .744 (same file i've always used) and when the phone started up, it says com.google.process.gapps has stopped over & over again. I tried RSDing again...and it still does it. I can't get past the setup screen to do anything. Has anyone else had this problem?

Edit: Nevermind, I fixed it. If anyone else has this problem, after I used RSD, I went into recovery and did a factory wipe.

I really like this build. I have installed both leaks and have never used the crc file updates fine without. I didnt even download it this time.

Was on the previous ICS leak, used Matt's utility to go back to .173, then did an additional factory reset. Proceeded to OTA to .181, and then rooted .181 and used Voodoo to backup root. Next I followed the install guide to get this new ICS leak going, tried to restore root unsuccessfully... but then I used dhacker's terminal method, and have gotten root back. So for those who are having trouble with root, I can confirm that that method still works. Hooray for being on the bleeding edge of RAZR updates once again! lol

It'll do that if you're not bone stock (yet rooted) 181.
