Considering Im totally new to rooting and what not I don't really know.

With that said PLZ do NOT install this new ICS leak for the Razr/Maxx. Last hting you want on a new device jus tgetting into thigns is finding out you took it off path and with no way to return to stock at this point.

I am curious tho on your comments of the update failing on you. And mind you that is a good thing IMO at this point. Anywhoo what software build is on your device now when trying to update and it fails. BTW rooting has nothing to do with whether or not it will pass or fail and install

I am starting to see some issues with this build.

1. Google Play store and several other apps display error "(application name) has stopped" some of them have "Report | OK" but Play Store just has the "OK".
Restored Google play from a Ti BU, and it is working again... but for how long.

2. Lost root out of the blue and had to use the Terminal method to get it back.

3. Lost Entitlement Check changes for Mobile Hotspot. Was able to edit it again to retrieve but its now on line 79 or so and not 150.

4. Sounds reverted back to default.

If I didn't know better, I would say it factory reset/wiped data, though I have not done it. I had not rebooted for several days, though it made me after restoring Google Play Store from Ti BU.

Anyone else?

Hey guys....

ES File Manager has permission for superuser..... but I don't know why busybox installer and ROM Toolbox Pro keep telling me that I have no root access. Motofail worked.... or at least it said it did, following my ICS Leak update. Any helps be 'preciated much.

Had the Same issue turns out I had the old Binaries for super user. I downloaed latest version of binaries, then copied the su file from the bin directory in the zip to /system/bin on the phone I then adjusted permissions to match the current su file there (get those before you paste the new binary in) and changed owner to root.root

No. No "su backup". SNOTBALLS!!!! Sorry.... I am still very happy with the ICS leak. Arcane really is appreciated.

You can probably use ur file explorer to copy any missing parts of super user,. It will be a little trial and error, if the Su app is still showing up as installed fixing the binaries may be all that is needed

I have this installed. Did it before it was pulled. I didnt have any problems, everything works fine except not being able to restore root w/ voodoo. Voodoo doesnt work, neither does the 1.41 Razr utility to root 4.0.3. Looks like im stuck on this and not able to tether my phone for a while then huh?

If you lost root and still want to tether download Foxfi from the play store. It will allow you to wireless tether without root.

OK so since MOST people did not realize this when the .84 leak was out I wanted to point it out AGAIN.

Back when the .84 leak was JUST being posted and many other posts were complaining about it not being RSD Fastbootable, I went on rombot.droidhive.com and I saw the folder for the .85 leak. SO, I looked in the folder and saw that the file size had dramatically DECREASED in size. (223MB) At first I thought that maybe it was still being uploaded and it hadn't finished yet or something. But I checked back in 15 min. and it was still that EXACT file size. So I made a POST about it in the general section and it got removed because the DEVS needed more time to test it. After I checked it the next day, however, on rombot it was then 343 MB which is the same file size as .84 leak. ANY IDEAS????????? I definitely remember the EXACT file size because it was just so bizarre. I believe I got the msg about the thread being removed from VantenKiest.

I got a way to get back to 181!!!!

1)power down your phone
2)take a hammer
3)smash the phone.
4)call verizon and file a $89 insurance claim.
5)feel relieved. Its flawless!
