New Ics Build 6.14.84.xt912

This current leak has been successfully loaded through stock recovery without root just as all previous ota's were (not including the first ics leak). So, perhaps, if the leak was loaded the "traditional" way directly using that app which we don't speak of to update through stock or just installing through stock recovery after downloading, rsd works just fine. Is it possible that for some reason, this particular leak causes problems with rsd only if it was loaded through the modified way (rom manager).
Like I said, just thinking out loud but I would be curious if the dev who was able to fastboot back loaded the leak through rom manager or directly through that app which we don't speak of.

I dont see the ironey at all.
I TESTED THIS FOUR TIMES AND WAS ABLE TO FASTBOOT BACK USING RSD LITE EVERY TIME AND HAD NO PROBLEMS. IT HAS TO BE A ISOLATED INCEDENT ON CERTAIN PHONES.
So, if everyone else is to be understood we can NOT revert back with RSD lite or Razr Tool 5.1 from Mattlgroff? If this were true I still have a better RAZR than the GB version the day I bought it,so I won't be losing any sleep. I have no reason to test whether fastboot works since I have a working RAZR and prefer to keep it that way.
Appreciate all the dev's hard work. We all take risks flashing.

I tested on my MAXX 16gb and regular razr 2 times each. Plus a unlocked MAXX and 2 others fastbooted back to 173 with no problem. So a total of five different phones where tested with no problem.
We are working on a solution now.

Seems as if they downloaded it with cheeshcake then tested it for that, they would`ve also tested it for the way they gave us to install. Which I`m sure they did..................., I hope. Naa I know they did. This may be a stretch (I am no dev so this is simply theory). The dev who tested it said he was able to rsd back each time he tested it but others are not able to. So, i wonder if it has anything to do with how it was loaded. Again, just spit balling here so don't shoot me.

If I can get a firmware corrupt on a low battery back to life, then I am sure we can RSD back...anyone try going back to .744?
Also, I will try stock upgrade from .181 and root-backup-temp unroot-root to ensure root is maintained...

It would be the other way around as I cannot return and used the banished method. As for the rsd being an issue we had several people test and succeed. I was at work so I took their word on it and pushed it out after that confirmation from 3 testers. Obviously this isn't affecting everyone. No known reason why yet.

Some things i've tested (using appExtractor and a backup of the previous ICS leak):
1) I was able to restore SMS/MMS
2) Wifi access point restore worked
3) Bluetooth restore worked
4) Was also able to restore SOME apps/data. Some needed a full reinstall (mostly the games).
An oddity: When i FIRST did the upgrade, my "Home" button didnt work. I Bootstrapped, cleared data/cache/dalvik and re-installed everything. All seems well.
So far, it's fast and seems like an improvement over the last one. (again, haven't tried an SBF yet, but not planning on it until i have a reason to)

Just wanted to let you guys know that I really appreciate the work you guys have done thus far.
Yes, it's a bit frustrating to be sitting on bricked phone right now but things happen.
For whatever reason something got messed up and I appreciate all the effort going towards finding a fix

+1000,000,000I think the biggest thing that I have taken from this whole thing is this. We hear the warnings all the time and some people don't take them very seriously at all because out of all the things we have flashed, VERY few of them have gone wrong. Today is proof that the warning is always valid and things can happen at any given time. All phones have been known to act just a little bit differently and if some are able to RSD and others can't then this is good solid proof of this point as well. This has been the first roadblock that I can think of for the RAZR and hope its the last but nobody honestly knows. Just remember that the warnings given are not just some crap that is thrown in the OPs, they are very real even if the chances are low. I do hope that everyone gets back to where they should be and no hard feels are held between anyone. I do my best to be the crapping skittles, while riding a unicorn, and smell like roses positive guy in life and this is my try at it here.

I'm not putting on a skirt and throwing my pom poms in the air
I'm just gonna wait for official OTA ICS. The leak was okay but our GB kernel'd ICS custom ported roms are much more enticing to the eyes IMHO. So like I said I'll just wait for the OTA as that will probably be when most devs have a good stable working build off the new ICS kernel.
In the mean time, I'm still loving Gummy, Axiom, Dark, and Eclipse and will continue to flash back and forth through those.
