Known issue - the workaround is to use the alternative default picker, found in ROMSettings. We'll tackle that one for next release.

Yeah i found the answer on the Google+ page

Hi,

I am interested in the xenonhd rom.  I just wanted to know if I have to  update my phone inorder to use it.  or can I just flash the rom.  I have TWRP 2.6.3.0 on my phone.  My phone has already been backed up.

Phone specs:

Razr HD

system version: 9.16.6 xt 926

Android version 4.1.2

kernal version 3.0.31-ge491d6d

build #: 9.8.1q-62_vqw_mr-2

phone has been rooted and unlocked

Update:  works well on my phone.  Just one question, which version of gapps do I install?  There's a bounch when I clicked on the link on post #2.  Thanks!  Excellent rom btw!

Update #2: Just saw a few postings above mine about gapps.  hmmmm.

Use the gapps on goo.im that are for android 4.3 - gapps-jb-20130813

Also, thank you pcarenza for the heads up about the alternate app picker. It was driving me crazy haha!

Flashed for the first time and did a full wipe factory reset and flashed the rom and gapps

. I'm now getting "unfortunately android keyboard (aosp) has stopped". I've done some research and several posts indicate using wrong version of gapps. However, according to this

i'm on the right version. Any help? Thanks!

UPDATE: So I wiped everything and started over again. This time I just flashed the ROM and verified that the aosp keyboard is working! So it appears gapps is causing the KB to crash. I'll download gapss

 again. /crossing fingers

UPDATE2: That was it. corrupt package.

i am going to have to try this... my keyboard works fine but chrome, playstore and my music app keeps crashing out i have to reboot my phone to get them to stop fc's tried fixed permissions wipeing app data etc

Try 8sms in the play store see if it works for you till the MMS problems are solved in the 4.3 roms. Its pretty close to what comes in the roms. Worth a try.

I flashed this ROM last night on my Droid Razr Maxx HD and Dang!!

It's going to take me a month to find out everything this Xenon ROM does.

If it came with an owners manual it would be as thick as a C# progammers book.

Great job on this one gentleman, I am a programmer, system network analyst and a webmaster so I know how much work went into this.

Congratulations one and all and I can't wait to get a look at the source code for this one.

I have had the same problem with multiple browsers but where in ROM settings can I change this?

Go to Settings -> ROM Settings -> General UI -> scroll to the bottom and look for "use alt default app grid". Check it and then your defaults will stick!

Thank You Sir.

I've been at work all day and checked when I had time. Looked straight at it but didn't see it. Ha...

APN: vzwinternet

I love this ROM but i keep this silly issue, my play store keeps force closing I can't get into it at all! On the last update it was the same thing but only about a week into using the ROM does it stop work and I've tried deleting app data but that does nothing! Anyone else?!

Just an update: Xenon HD 4.3 RC3 is in the works, shouldn't be very long before release. If you think the last version was feature-filled, you truly haven't seen anything yet. I'll be posting some screen shots to our Google + community soon (

Coming soon:

Lots and lots of bug fixes, speed and efficiency tweaks!

Split-screen multitasking! Gestures! Brand new performance settings! AppOps! DashClock! Lockscreen Battery Circle! Customizable Sunbeam lwp!

Bunches more!
