I seem to be having the same issue as "notyourstar" over on XDA but it wouldn't let me make a development post over there.  I haven't been able to connect to any WiFi networks in over a week.  I am running the 7/11 build and it worked great up until about Tuesday of last week, 7/16, when all of a sudden it would no longer connect to WiFi networks.  I have tried wiping the cache/dalvik and it didn't help.  I also have the ROM set to fix permissions on every boot so that isn't the problem either.  I do have some backups that I could revert to but I was wondering if there was any way to fix this build as it has been the most stable that I have tried so far.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK all, I have good news and bad news.

The bad news is that we're not going to have a new release of XenonHD until after 4.3 is released and we can implement the changes and clean our source. That may be a while... probably another month or so.

The good news is I'm able to provide you at least one more device update, maybe more. I don't have the SELinux changes committed to our repository yet, so any non-SELinux changes that happen to the device should be pushed without much issue. Chances are bluetooth streaming will not work with this build, since I'm putting back all the compressed audio changes.. but I'll continue to learn and investigate each commit.

I don't want to leave you guys in the dark - we're making some pretty broad changes that we think you'll love. Additionally, we'll be cleaning up and rebasing the code to make it that much smoother and bug-free by the time you get it.

I've also got plans to add more devices, including the Razr M and OG Razr series.... but we'll get there when we get there.

Thanks for your support!

So, if everything works on what we have - would you recommend NO updates till you get your 4.3 working?  My device is basically flawless at this point - blue tooth, tethering, gps, ice cream dispenser, rotary tool...........  you name it.

If you like the build you're on, by all means stay on it, particularly with bluetooth. I'm going back to the original repo with all the compressed video changes and using that one. I haven't committed any of the selinux changes, either, so there's a chance a future cm commit might break something in the near future... though I won't release it if it happens after I test on my phone.

This new build has everything to this point from dhacker prior to SELinux changes - 3.0.87 kernel, compressed audio - tunnel mode, wifi modifications, wifi direct....  and fyi it's available as an OTA now. If you want to try it, remember to backup everything first..

first of all, can't argue with your reasoning on holding off with major changes for 4.3. I'm quite happy on the 7/14 build (no audio skipping, even on bluetooth stereo) - video playback is the only thing that isn't working and apparently I never really play videos on my phone, so no biggie.

Can I ask what exactly compressed audio means? Is there somewhere I can read more about that?

The problem of course is wikipedia sometimes veers into the supertechnical...

The commits in question actually have more to do with LPA and tunnel mode (Low Power Audio, if you're interested). Below is a description from CM on tunnel mode:

"Tunnel mode sends compressed audio streams directly to the Hexagon
where it's decoded and processed, rather than decoding in userspace
and sending huge buffers of PCM data."

Good news - dhacker 29 just fixed gps notification persistence AND added the new vendor blobs from the moto OTA all at once! Build will be updated tomorrow.

I'm amazed and thankful for your attention to your ROM and the support you provide here. No one-word answers from you - always explanation and deep dives on the what's and why's.

Sir, I thank you.

I just want to say that as a developer you are amazing.  As someone else said, its never just a one word answer, you explain things to us so we know what's going on.  Thanks for the attention, we all appreciate it, i'm sure.

Same here. Bluetooth audio is what's not working so well. I did get a song to start streaming this time, but when I skipped to the next one it crashed and rebooted into the boot loop. So close!
