Is it possible to flash this ROM using bootstrap instead of safe strap? I find pretty much all ROMs to run sluggish when using safe strap... is this common?

I would not use bootstrap.. period! There have been a lot of issues with it and JB.
I have not noticed any sluggishness with SS..of course I make my slots 1GB...and keep my apps to only what I actually use.

Even on a fresh install with no other apps installed i notice the keyboard lagging and opening apps is slower than stock. I have actually really liked the stock JB except for not having the toggles in the notification area and the non precise battery monitoring. Thanks for the help.

If you really wanted to, and I'm not recommending it by any means, you could install in you stock slot. JUST WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT WIPE SYSTEM!! You probably would still have a lot of bloat left over from stock but, it will install fine then you could uninstall ss

I have tried flashing to my stock ROM before using safe strap and completely messed things up.I think I will deal with the slight lagging. As far as keyboards go I have really started liking swift key.

Do you have just the 4.2 Keyboard on a Flash.zip or can I just grab it off of a different build and add it to let say a theme or a Update?

Swift Key is great, but I only use it on my Tablet. I like Swipe or the 4.2 Keyboard with gesture.

Make sure you're on jb and try deleting slot and recreating... Also make sure you're not low on space.

A good thing to do if there is lag is swap to stock, backup your slots, uninstall ss, possibly fxz then reinstall ss and restore slot

Snap out of it Man.... We need you. Go have at lease two drinks and sleep on those thoughts.... LOL

On another note

I am having a issue with the Utility and it might be my fault. First off I mainly use Ubuntu 12.10 daily. I am duel booting with Windows 7 and when I went and selected it to apply Edge "Permission denied" when it tried to push the content. Would changing out the SuperUser out with the latest from the Market and updating the SU Binary cause this issue?

Had the same thing happen to me. Reboot through the utility and run it again. Took a couple tries for it to work for me.

Small problem with the utility:

Changing installation folder doesn't work. It'll will ignore the change and install to default location.
