I tried yesterday to install and every time it boots with no service. Anyone else have this issue. I've been wiping properly.

Not sure if this is the case in this particular issue but apparently some Motorola DEV phones (And we have a unlocked boot loader now so yeah) will loose their IMEI data

So anybody without data/signal after an upgrade or ROM flash could you please do the following and tell us if you get real data or zeros/unknown/null as a result?

  1. From a home screen, select Apps ( apps_icon.jpg located at the bottom).
  2. From the All Apps tab, select Settings.
  3. Select About phone.
  4. Select Status.
  5. Locate the IMEI.

Could you report back here and tell me if your IMEI and MEID is a real number or something like this

MEID
Dec:17600000000
Hex:0xB0000000

IMEI
0

Or simply says unknown or null

and/or also try dialing from the dialer *#06# and tell me if a real MEID number comes up

Hey guys!  If you are having this issue...try flashing this and see if it fixes it...it is the 4.1.2 radio.

Let me know if it fixes it.

I am also getting this issue but only when i flash deadrage.

I noticed I recently switched from CWM recovery to TWRP, and since then it has been having the issue.... Might be because of TWRP?

not sure about bad downloads because ive downloaded it twice to be sure.

TWRP's not the issue.  I'm not sure what the issue is with DeadRage, I didn't have an issue.  However, there is one thing that I have done differently than most people.  I was running MRage and flashed the updated radio by itself.  Then, I updated to DeadRage, which is based off of 4.1.2.  Possibly, DeadRage doesn't flash the 4.1.2 radio, leaving you with the 4.1.1 radio.img, and that's proving incompatible.  Bump your baseband version against my screenshots:

I used matt's utility and flashed stock 4.1.2 then through CWM flashed DeadRage mine is running smoother than anything else.

Okay well I think the issue was that instead of wiping everything, I had only factory reset and wiped caches..... Hadn't wiped system because I fastbooted to 4.1.2 and then tried again wiping system and its all good now.
