Hey there everyone, I am attempting yet another project for you guys. All the others have seemed to not really work out, but I'm hoping this one will be different! This is a program i have started developing in vb.net (a language used for programming windows applications, which means this is a WINDOWS program only). It's aimed at people new to the custom ROM world, or who use custom ROMs, but don't really understand anything about them. What i have done is pull together information from multiple sources all into one program to have it all easily accessible. I do plan on adding quite a bit more features to this as time goes on. Right now you can find a suggestions button on the main window that will have a button linked to my profile so you may PM me with a suggestion you may have. Or you can always post it here in the thread.

Current features:

  • What's a ROM?
  • Why use one?
  • Downsides
  • What's a kernel?
  • What's a governor?
  • Governor specifics

Release 1

Release 2

Nice! I find coding in VB very fun, I haven't done a lot of it but the ease in which it let's you do so many things made it very fun to code in.

Good stuff man! I went though it and it makes good, logical sense! Now it's a matter of making this accessible to those who are new and want to understand what these terms are all about :)

Perhaps make it accessible in the "introductions" section?

Thanks and I agree :) I have asked DDX to move it to that section for me :)

I'll have to look this thread up when I get internet back. If I think of anything I as a newbie would like to see, I'll definitely let you know.
