you got further then me when i flashed this i got a black screen i am unlocked and i flashed the gapps package didn't get anywhere with this ROM but now my boot logo is dead calms skull for some reason where it would show the Motorola M kicker is im not even running the ROM im running liquid smooth i have liquid smooths boot animation that it goes through but before that its dead calms boot logo ive wiped it idk how many times and still the same logo so idk what happened

This is a stock based ROM, you don't need to flash GAPPs with it.  Also, the deadhead can be replaced by flashing another boot logo.  DeadCalm is one of the few ROMs out there that flashes the boot logo when it flashes the ROM.

Is anything else gonna be done with this? I remember some of us wanted volume button music controls. I would come right the hell back to this ROM if it had that

I have not tested flashing through safestrap.  So, if it doesnt, just let me know and we will see if we can get it working.

This does not work using safestrap on my phone. When I flash the ROM it says "Installing Update..." then "assert failed: write_raw_image("/tmp/boot.img". "boot" (Status 7). Hope that helps.

Did you try booting afterwards? I remember some of the others saying that safestrap claims to error but it actually works properly.

ill be checking on this. also getting status 7 error like this one... do i need to have a specific or preffered kernel? details are as follows...

system version 98.18.78.xt907

android version 4.12

"assert failed: write_raw_image1"/boot.img". "boot"

E:Error in /sdcard/Download/DeadRage.zip

(Status 7)"

Not sure what that means... :/
