Didn't even notice that one, did it fix the sensor issue for you? Does it have extra bells and whistles?

Yeah, it's confirmed that it fixes the rotation issues (and I think the proximity issue too). I haven't messed with OCing so I don't know what else it does.

So when I flash the Avstralia rom, should I flash the dead calm over it? Will this fix the rotation and proximity issue?

yes

Op updated with new name only.

Hey Tim. It seems zooyork found the appropriate file for you to update with new radio and all, which i DESPERATELY need. I'm in a horrible service area. Would love to see v1.5. You could also get a copy of arrrgghh kernel and possibly auto work some of your own tweaks but we know sensors and proximity worm with that kernel. Hope to hear from you.

Yes but understand that DC is a Convenient step to activate this ROM. It is no more DC but for your personal data. You should be able to step back to DC and take your newer data too.

Just flash the baseband and kernel on top of the current ROM.

Can I just use the. Zip file zooyork linked to and flash it through CWM. I also have a. Zip flushable TWRP if i need to switch over to it. I also run Ubuntu on my pc. I am pretty familiar with Linux and commands and all. I just wasn't sure how to flash the baseband. If i could do it through recovery or if i needed to use adb or fastboot. I can use any method. Just need a walk through. I hear that new baseband is def worth the upgrade, but i didn't want to use matts utility and flash back to stock just to take the update. Can you give me a walk through or link to a thread of how to flash the new baseband. I looked and couldn't find it on here on xda but didn't wanna ask and sound noobish :-)

No problem at all.  Yes, you can just flash the baseband in recovery.  I would wipe cache/dalvik and then flash the baseband.

I found the flashable baseband file in another thread after a little digging. Flashed it. Now I have the 78P baseband. What's the difference between the two updates the 3 and the 78P?

78 is the new one, but I don't know what to tell you about the differences.  This is the third baseband upgrade I've seen since I've owned the phone, and each has been better than the last.  I get good 3g at work now, where I used to rarely even get mobile data.

I was disappointed when I got this phone by the reception. I have always thought of Motorola as the gold standard in reception. I worked for verizon for two years, just at an agent location and that's the experience I had but that was in the days of RAZR and krzr. Doesn't seem to be the case now. But this update def helped.

I used Avid's zip to update my baseband, works like a charm.

Yes, it's the latest update.  I use TWRP, but you should be able to use CWM.

Is the 78 radio really newer than 81 because that's really screwing with my inner ocd
