The kernel allows for over clocking and more governor and scheduler options.People have gotten 6100 quadrant scores using it.

How would I over clock it?

I think it comes down to how much debloating you can do before things start malfunctioning. Like the auto rotate for instance. I speed up my stock rom browser speed dramatically by simply by installing adfree. Freezing unneeded app's that run in the background was also helpfull. Ad a WiFi app that lets you choose the least congested channel also helps greatly. I've had no auto rotate problems whatsoever with 4.1.2 stock ROM so it leads me to think dead rage is missing some building blocks.

The rotation always works for me also after a reboot or power down. But after using it watching YouTube is when it glitches out. Weird how it has the ability to work yet stops after its used a few times.

Yeah.  That's what happened.  After it slept for a little bit, the rotation quit.

It's likely an incompatible init.d or build.prop tweak, not a debloating issue.

No worries, dude.  We all know you have somewhat of a life outside of dev'ing.  ;)

Well then... If others can confirm this than that would suggest it is a kernel issue... Which would narrow it down a bit.

Yes, flash the ROM, then flash the kernel.

I'm on the same boat. Just switched back over from another ROM that was on XDA to this one. Keep up the good work Tim and TeamRage.

And remember. You devs work for us! So keep working !!! *goes into slave driver mode*

(Lol jk, but in all seriousness, great job on this awesome ROM)

Thanks for the kind words guys. Make sure you go over to xda and thank arrrghhh too!

I will be working on fixing the current DeadRage kernel. So it works immediately after flashing.

PS... You guys rock!

Tim,

If replacing the kernel fixed the auto-rotation issue does Dead Rage have a custom Kernel? I was assuming that it was using the stock 4.1.2 kernel.
