yeah, you can do that with Holo as well.  I tried Bruno's suggestion, but that did not work for me.

Bruno suggestion worked for me for a while untill i rebooted.. than it stopped again and didnt work after... this is so far a great ROM... but the rotation issue is a big deal breaker... im still keeping it because im also working to see if i can fix it (no much luck yet) and like i said its great rom.. hope we find solution to that bug soon

I was having rotate issues until I deleted CPU sleeper. Cleared data in the movement .apk using ROM toolbox and rebooted. Haven't had an issue since.

For anyone using nova launcher and having problem with rotate issue, you can temporarily switch to land scape mode via in-launcher force rotate option.

Sorry bud. This autorotation thing is a puzzle.

Hmm, I just don't see why that would affect it.

If I'm not mistaken Hillsmom reported no issues with rotation and that she deleted CPU sleeper as well.

changing the proximity sensor in the 26_build file from 150 to 800 did not help.  the screen still remains on while on call and next to my face.

thinking that perhaps we could import the 4.1.2 stock 26_build file?  this might correct both the proximity delay and auto-rotation?

If you stopped CPUSleeper and your problems came back when you rebooted, it's worth asking: do you have "enable at boot" set in cpusleeper? Since disabling that, I've rebooted quite a few times and my issues have never come back. I have no idea what sorcery happens to make cpusleeper work, but this definitely seems to be the source of the issue for at least some of us.

On stock there is no init.d folder in the etc folder.  That is something I added in the building process.

then perhaps it can be added to the build.prop file?

I tried this approach as well. Didn't work for me either. Deleting CPU sleeper did. I have had no issues since.

Yeah, just put it on a line at the end. Should be fine.

Almost... Just one last thing... And I have been working on getting setup to compile straight 4.2.2 AOSP from source.

Oh and not normal... Better than normal. :D

Think you'll get stock-like battery life on 4.2.2? I'd be all over that :D

Love my RAZR M

Isn't 4.2.2 very laggy?

It's choppy. Lag isn't too bad.

Yeah, for now it still has a little lag. And no, this will never have stock battery life. Just fun to compile stuff from scratch. :-D

Interesting. I wanted to see what the build.prop file read from a stock 4.1.2 ROM, and install one.
I had made a nandroid last night of dead rage. After checking out the stock ROM, I restored my old ROM.... And what do you know, auto rotate is back for me without me making any edits.
So perhaps a remedy is to reflash this ROM without clearing data/system?
