Lowvolt, were you on 4.1.1 when you flashed this ROM, or did you already upgrade to 4.1.2? I'm not sure why everyone's getting this problem. The only app that has caused me to freeze was Goggles. After I reboot, everything was working like it should.

lowvolt, on 13 May 2013 - 11:21 PM, said:Okay. So I extracted the motion .apk from the zip and copied it into the system app folder changed permission to rw rr and rebooted. Sensors are working again. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 2

Why did you reload it?  It's already in there.  I checked mine, and it's in there and permissions are correct.

This is probably a silly question RikRong but have you rebooted :D yet?

Is the .apk file that everyone is talking about called MotionTrigger.apk?

Yes, I've rebooted multiple times and it's still good.

edit: For $#!+s and giggles, I rebooted and lost rotation. This was the first time it happened. The phone has been rebooted multiple times to flash various things, after the initial install of the ROM. I wiped data and rebooted, good again.

When I lost rotation, I went into the programming menu to verify if prox sensor was still turned on, and it was. I wasn't outside, so I wasn't able to verify if GPS was working through the test menu in the programming screen. I might try to get it to freeze again and run the test menu.

edit to the edit: Rebooted phone again, still had rotation. Ran test mode and verified GPS is working and prox sensor is on. Rebooted again, still had rotation.

I also had flashed a boot image when the sensors stopped working. I bet there's a simple fix for this, just a matter of figuring it out

Edit: got it! I backed up my motion detection apk before wiping data. Simply restoring, wiping data, and reboot fixed my rotation issues. I would imagine if I flash anything else down the road that gives me problems, this will work again. If anyone needs me to post the apk, let me know!

Is your .apk disappearing?  I guess I'm lost as to why you guys reloaded it.  I must have missed something in the thread.

Hey guys,

Sorry to hear about these issues. I am swamped today but will have some time to unpack the ROM and skim through to see what could be causing the issue tomorrow. The main problem with figuring it out is that is has not once happened to me. This makes is more difficult to diagnose. However, I will look through all tweaks and make sure nothing is set to change that setting. Sorry again for the troubles and I will work on this tomorrow.

No problem.  It's weird because it's only happened to me once, and I haven't had it duplicate the problem since then.  I wish I could help you out more.  However, I don't think it's isolated to just this ROM.  Reading through the CM ROM threads, it's starting to pop up there, too.

I reloaded the .apk because I forced it to stop. Thinking it would restart on s reboot. It never restarted. So I reloaded the .apk. Still have sensors. But I'm not rebooting.
Edit: I'm on 4.1.2 and was when I flashed.

RikRong, just wondering what you mean by wiped data? Also which .apk file is it?

Wipe the .apk data. You can do it using ROM toolbox app manager. It is the motion detection app.

Do you know the actual filename of the .apk? I was browsing last night and the only .apk that I could find close to motion was called MotionTrigger.apk or something like that. My apologies; I currently don't have my phone with me.

RikRong, aside from the DeadRage 1.2a ROM on your phone, do you have any of the Rage themes installed?

So just for kicks I rebooted. Sensors still function. Not to say they still would if I pushed by rebooting again.

Hey for anyone experiencing the auto-rotate function problem. I was having the same issue and tried just rebooting a few times, which didn't work. After messing around trying to figure it out, I disabled the auto startup function in cpusleeper and rebooted and now good to go, typing this out in landscape mode now. Hope this helps. Also once again excellent build, one of the most stable Roms I have ever used. On payday I will be showing my love.

I just recently flashed a backup with DeadRage 1.2a with the auto-rotation working. I went to check out Cpu Sleeper and mine does not have Auto Startup checked. I will probably mess around with this later to see the Auto Startup gets checked after a reboot. Just curious, have you rebooted your phone lately?

Wiping data cache for the motiondetection.apk, through TiBU or another similar app.

RikRong, aside from the DeadRage 1.2a ROM on your phone, do you have any of the Rage themes installed?

I'm running the Black/White Theme, with no soft keys.
