sorry if this is talked about. I have been looking in the fourms and cant find it.

 

 

I messed my phone up badly but got it working again thanks to a friend on team speak. I got jb and my phone is rooted. what I would like to do is get ics back into my phone. I hate the jb update to be honest. things like changes to my gallery ect. am I able to go back? I have rds lite (got my phone to loop on fast boot but like I said its all fixed now my getting back stock rom).

I don't think you can go back to ICS because of the locked bootloader. Maybe wrong though.

I did see a page that boot loader had been unlocked. I can't figure out how to do it. I also still don't know how to root either. But a friend helped me get back to stock as well as guide me to root.

Not that I know what to do with it. Just hoping at this point I can get back to ICS. Its more then wanting back weather widget. Gallery is ugly in jb. Also in ICS I had gif images in gallery that would move. In jb they don't. Only 1 gif image will flash but very slow.

So for me jb took the ui I liked and gave me crap.lol

OK, no unlocked boot loader for RAZR, only HD, M and Atrix HD. As for rolling back to ICS from JB, that will not be possible unless you did Mattlgroff's method to keep that ability PRIOR to taking the update.

Wow that kinda sucks. This is my first smart phone so I have a lot to learn. Thank you very much for clearing that up for me. So much info that conflicts with other info.

I will say that if you stick with DroidRzr.com , there will be much less conflicting info.  The other thing, which it sounds like you are doing, is to read read read before jumping onto anything, even as simple as an update.

hello, i guess ill just type in my own topic because i dont want to create new topics as spam. if anyone could guide me to a help fourm (as i dont really know where that is) i would post there. ive been wanting a lcars theme ever since i saw people could put it on phones as well as the i-pad. 

 

i have a droid razr. i saw this link and im not sure what cm7 ect is. will this work on my phone?

also for the future, do i need to put a rom flash on a sd card? i only ask because my sd card is 512mb. can i just use a program like rsd lite? lol im tek savy  with bitpim. but i have to say smart phones are cool with what they can do.

 

would the help forum be general support? i would hate to upset some one by posting in the wrong place.

CM7 is pretty outdated. First I would read up on rooting your device and installing safstrap...etc. Most of those topics will be under Droid razr [XT912] development here. After going through those steps I would check out the rom thread which will have more current roms. To answer your other question...roms can be flashed if they are in the internal memory but storing them on the sdcard is safer if you ever have to fxz back to stock (which wipes internal memory). If you can I would suggest getting a sdcard with more memory. The smallest I would recommend is 8gb. That is enough room for a few rom zips and a few backups.

thank you very much for your reply. it seems the more i read the more i get confused. i have that program i belive came from mat? the batman program. i had to use it when i messed up my phone. if i use a program like this do i first need to clear cache  and dalvik cache? or is option 1 3 and 4 all i need to do when i need to go back to stock after messing up because i tried to install a rom incorrectly?

The razr xt912 is the verizon HD  isnt it? Thats what I have and Im looking to go back to ICS as well..

Nope the 912 is the OG Razr. It has a locked bootloader and cannot go back to ICS. The HD is the 926 and has an unlocked bootloader
