2. root, download ota rootkeeper and backup root
3. download and install ota updates, there's 2
4. install leak files and boot up
5. check ota rootkeeper and it says rooted but no luck

One of the reasons to use IC bootstrap is so you can make/restore nandroid backups. Regular one causes issues when doing those.

Root Explorer would hang until I forced stopped the app and cleared cache/data

I had same problems metioned above with sq lite editor and root explorer. Other than that, it was running smooth ... until I went into recovery the 2nd time ... it hung. Then things went downhill from there. So RSD back to .173 and restored back to RAZRX.
