In the bucket of the bobcat is the most horrible, meanest, two-stroke compactor I had to run back in the day...

The source of the fill...

Sixteen lengths of all-thread (about 3/4"?) with double nuts waiting for the first sections of tower legs...

They should have the back fill done in a day or so.

Took this shot from a different angle to emphasize the 'notch' that has developed as they cleared away the rubble loosened by the blast in my crummy vid. Notice the white splotches below the white pickup near the base of the tower...when we went by after supper there was a large Cat front bucket moving rocks/dirt there, so must have missed another blast while we ate!

Lots of dump trucks being loaded by bucket loaders and a couple jack hammers but so far no action for the cone crusher.

Back on the east side of the hill a claw bucket is loading slash into a truck to be hauled to a spot where it'll be burned.

This is not a Paul Bunyon-type logging operation!  Just push it over with the claw bucket and stack it up to dry.

Spotted the local Fire Marshal's Blazer (ironic!) parked in the back side of the car dealer and since

I had no idea where the next charges were loaded, I didn't try for another vid. Hung around till I heard the air horn and the muffled crackle of the shot just over the right side of the hill.

Two drills making more white splotches nearer the base of the old tower while two jack hammers make smaller rocks from larger boulders.

Last Friday they finished drilling along the ledge above where rubble has been removed after the crummy vid blast.

Today they've cleared most of the rubble after two blasts just over the ridge on the right side and two drill rigs are back at it there.

From the angle the Powder truck was parked and using binoculars I could see that the 'Powder' is actually powder in paper bags instead of stick dynamite! Tried to zoom in to show them unloading the bags, but very fuzzy pic.

They're still trucking rubble down from the other side and they are apparently building some kind of concrete facility at the low point since I've seen a couple ready-mix trucks in and out.
