The shot starts from the right to left, then the new holes this side of the hill road and then...the TOP!

On the west side Austin Powder setting charges along the western edge of the rock wall pit for a shot later today. Bet that removal of that rock wall will be a chore!

At the same time as the shot on top, they set one off along the freeway that pushed some rocks down through the shrubbery. The red dirt on the right was from a week ago.

Good Blast today. I'm glad I got to see it in person. I also like watching the rock crunchers. 

 And I would have loved to have seen the Deer in person.(sighs).

This morning they dug a big hole to the left of that foundation slab and the dozer nudged it down.

This morning a dozer got busy scraping topsoil and big rocks down from the top and away from the edge of the road on the left.

Returned to the new tower site today...to check out the finished product. The shelter closer to the camera is for VZW and the one further away is for AT&T (with its relocated standby generator).

Nearly all of the crew left at 3pm today, one loader and a couple hammers stayed up on top. That expanded pit area was empty of equipment and workers, so it was time to throw rocks! Right down onto the spot I was standing when I took the pic of the loader up on the edge!

 

 

That freestanding knob-looking thing is actually another one of the foundation slabs.

Today we;re back to doing a vid of another shot. The audio on this one is very bad due to the breeze and next time I'll try to sort out a way to muffle that (or you could just mute my voice-over!)

BTW, I just figured out that youtube vids can be paused and then you can do frame-by-frame by repeatedly clicking the right arrow key on a PC. Duh!

The shot today was located alongside where the road up the hill was cut at the bottom. When this material is cleared (+ maybe one more deeper shot) should fully open the Honda pit into the rock wall pit.
