Thanks, guys...I had no idea last April how this whole 'Saga' would evolve nor how interested in this whole project I would become.

It's certainly now entered a really 'Off Topic' territory since the old tower is gone, the new tower is up and running and there is definitely better signal strength at and near my home for the whole family!

With the forbearance of our host site, droidrzr.com, I hope to carry on watching as much activity as possible and grabbing pics and vids of whatever catches my eye that would seem to be interesting for posts here. So far, I've gotten to meet folks from the General Contractor and several of the sub-contractors and think that if I stay out of the way, I'll be able to keep watching all their efforts.

The end of Phase 1 for the project will be delivery of a finished slab to Cabelas by Dec 2, 2013...and recent news is that Cabelas has begun final design work for their individual plot of ground that will surround that slab.

Sooo...if'n the sun keeps coming up and the creek don't rise, c'mon back to this thread from time to time and see what's been happening! Next up - the first shot by the Austin Powder folks at the top of the hill on the east side.

And here's the vid...since the warning horn was on the west side and I wasn't very close to see/hear freeway traffic stop, it was pure luck that I started the camera running when I did!

The shot that might threaten that twig was pushed to Friday...today it's the ridge between the remaining haul roads and the hill at the side of the freeway...Before:

Both Cone Crushers and the Stacker conveyor have been relocated just in front of where I've been parked for most of the pics/vids on this side of the hill. Once the gravel stockpile begins to build my view would be blocked.

Thanx, kind sir! As may be quite obvious, I've been having a great time during the whole thing.

Herald Courier reports that the City Council just okay-ed another $53 M debt for further development of The Falls project.

A little soggy here today but I see they're spreading crushed rock at the bottom of what will be the new haul road on the east side of the hill and drilling again next to where they shot yesterday. On the west side Austin Powder is loading for a double shot down low near Honda and along the western rim of the pit by the rock wall. Will try for a vid.

Edit: When ya gonna be in town so we can do that coffee-sans-paypal thang?!

Here's a look at the layer of rock going onto the lower end of the new haul road. Curious how they'll work out the switchback turns and if it'll be a two-lane road.
