After the shot by Honda I drove over behind the warehouse for the second shot and should have chosen to watch from the car lot. First the vid (which was mostly out of sight)...

When I drove back over to the car lot I could see that this shot opened the wall toward the pit they've been digging at the old quarry.

They did an Austin Powder shot way off to the left while they had both Lee Hiway and I-81 shut down and I had to wait for that dust to clear before an 'After' pic...

I'm gonna make an effort to try not to offend any P.C. Police hereabouts by referring to the Takeuchii as the 'Little Nipper'...(shame on me!), but his bigger brother just came off another low boy this morning!

Okay, you've an old, used up cell tower laying on a hill...what do ya do with it? First they measure up (down?) from the base about a hundred feet and send in Li'l Ni...I mean 'Takii' to cut through the whole thing and tell him to back outta there.

Sometimes I get carried away with the pics and have a hard time sorting out the duds and keeping track of the right sequence for posting them, so...

Here are five vids instead. Hope they work better for you folks, too. Even with youtube 'stabilizing' them, the shakes and crummy zooms are my fault...the annoying back-up beeper noise was from a dozer busy spreading fill right in front of where I was parked.

Pretty calm Saturday and the crew only working 8 hours today with a pause for an Austin Powder shot about 2pm. There's about 45 seconds of dead air in the following vid - but if I trim it the audio is lost.

The local FIre Department got the ok to salvage some of the fencing, posts and the big gate yesterday...that's the last of the old tower. The slabs will be torn out as the excavation happens up there.

OMG...a car wreck is gonna happen!  :o Today the folks on the hill were watching what was going on in the car lot for a change!

The driver wore a lot of extra padding under his firesuit, some kind of head and neck restraint (but no helmet or gloves!!) and the drivers door was removed for quicker extraction if something bad happened. It didn't, but the drivers airbag was kaput after the first hit.

So today this gohungous conveyor showed up...was told it's a 'stacker' that will build up the gravel piles easier than using a dozer, front bucket or excavator and less fuel too!

Upper left - two of the clips that secure each run of coax at each horizontal brace on the tower.

Lower left - some kind of insulated clamp, parts broken off?

Center - two round headed hardened steel bolts.

Far right - piece of tubing (approx 4 inch diameter?) sheared off by Big Brother.

Draped over it all - copper grounding wire with swaged two holed connector.

I've also got two vids from shots yesterday and today but youtube is currently being a tad difficult for uploads...will try again later.

This vid from yesterday was of charges set in the bottom of the deep pit in front of the rock wall. I thought it was going to be wider.

The shot today was wider than I expected and moved from the hill out toward the freeway. Without hearing the horn, I flinched again!
