[SOLVED]SafeStrap not going into recovery no os on phone

xt807 safestrap no os motorola droid razr m help

Best Answer tucstwo , 24 April 2013 - 07:02 PM

OK, OFFICIALLY SOLVED! This member needed the 4.1.2 Razr M FXZ files that were pre-released this evening. (I'm sure a public release in imminent). When he flashed the (edited...to confirm previous version..in his case) he was able to get his phone fully restored and booting. Case CLOSED.

To those reading. The Razr M 4.1.2 FXZ files HAVE leaked and I'm sure will be on SBF developers within hours. Cheers!

No offense, but if you have another pc or something, you may want to Google rsd flashing or something similar. Plenty of videos out. 5 minutes viewing that will make it easier for you to do then via posts. Won't have to wait for responses. You'll have it up and running in no time. Just a suggestion.<br /><br />Sent from my XT875 using Tapatalk 2<br /><br /><br />

How do I manually send the commands through RSD ?

you dont you need to the snapdragon fastboot stuff. Here is a link to it

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

Unzip that to a drive on your computer and remember where it is. Once that is done unpack the full XML file. then copy the boot.img, recovery.img, and system.img to the exact folder you unzipped snapdragon-fastboots to. After you have that done open command prompt on your computer and change the drive /directory to the folder with the fastboot.exe in & the 3 *.img files.

Once you have that done put the device in AP mode and hook it up to your comp and follow these commands

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img      then press Enter. When it finishes that

fastboot flash boot boot.img                    then press Enter. When it finishes that

fastboot flash system system.img            then press Enter

When all three are done unplug from comp and press power button and it should power off. Once power off try firing it up and see what you get.

BTW if it starts booting like you are after but does a bootloop you'll have to manually power down and get into Recovery and do Factory reset then it should boot fine.

Alright I did that. But I think my battery is low again. I'm going to have to charge it up.

Alright I powered it off, set it to boot normally, and now it's on the black screen charging back up because I heard it won't charge in fastboot mode. I will repeat the previous operation again once it's been charging for like an hour because I don't actually know how charged the battery is. I will repost with an update when charged

I've seen that error before. It's almost like you're flashing the wrong files?

Here is exactly what I am doing:

I have the boot.img, system.img, recovery.img from C:\Program Files (x86)\Motorola\RSD Lite\VZW_XT907_4.1.1-9.8.1Q-27-2-4_1FF.xml\VZW_XT907_4.1.1-9.8.1Q-27-2-4_1FF.xml

and I put it in the snapdragon folder, you can pretty much see from my outputs from cmd

Any suggestions? Maybe a link to another package to try and flash from?

Just an update for everyone who's been helping in this thread. I wish I could add [SOLVED] to the title, but it wouldn't be fair to the OP as though his problem is solved, his phone is still broken. I'll explain:

Ok, so after some messing around in the chat room, the realization came up that the OP was already flashed to the latest 4.1.2 system. I didn't know that. At the moment, we only have at our disposal 4.0.4 and 4.1.1 fastboot files. We also found out that this started after wiping all the slots in his safestrap and then accidentally rebooting without any system installed. We were running into all these errors because his secure version updated with 4.1.2, his bootloader was yet to be unlocked and we all know you can't downgrade once your secure version updates.

Our last ditch effort was to flash the 4.1.2 OTA (that

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

provided me earlier in the week, thanks for that, btw), but it failed right away at file_getprop: failed to stat "/system/build.prop":no such file or directory So, as there was no system. That option was not going to work.

Sadly, until Razr M 4.1.2 fastboot files leak out, there's very little we can do for the OP at this moment. This is a reason that makes it vital to have your bootloaders unlocked. Had it been done on this phone already, 4.1.1 would have flashed with no problems and we'd have been done last night. The FB files have been leaking rather quickly lately. So hopefully, the OP won't be stuck for too long.

How long does it generally take for FB files to leak? Like a general timeframe? How fast have they been leaking lately?

I would say all the Moto phones have been pretty quick lately but you know how that goes when you want it then it's not quick enough.

I was going to say...the fxz for the JB Bionic build was pretty quick. Was a matter of a few days. Hopefully this will be the same scenario here. I have been keeping an eye out for them so if I notice them up I will post if nobody else has at the time.
